thinking about how shauna sleeps with jeff to feel closer to jackie (constantly turning herself into "the jackie" of any given situation)... and how that's similar to misty pretending to be nat to flirt with kevyn

i believe that this was ment represent the fact that jackie dies before she gets the chance to reconcile w shauna, to be on the same page which they never are and that taishauna WERE there at that point of truly understanding each other but bc of j's death they grew apart

nat specifically referring to herself and misty as a unit after misty admits she was worried that nat wouldn't want to spend time with her of her own free will
sorry i'll be less annoyingly spammy about my rewatch as soon as we get out of s1 territory. theres just so much to say about these episodes even though i am actually just skimming
nat saying they "brought it back with them" when misty is the progenitor of the entire concept of "it" in her mind and by keeping her secret she ensured misty made it back with them.....
said it before and ill say it again. very interesting how misty only really starts crossing boundaries with ben after he breaks down and hits her in the face. note the past tense in "we needed you" into present tense "I'm here for you" ...
pondering. is misty the only main character we never see in water properly, outside of the sensory deprivation tank scene? I'd say Jackie also but she at least wades in and I don't think we even see that much from Misty. Initial thought is about a connection to "it" --
there's the obvious "every antler queen" has been submerged before they are crowned bit (baptism) but even beyond that water is very closely tied to "it" (Other Tai in the taivan bath scene)... misty has never believed and it never wanted her?
she's such a hypocrite i love her bad. and then there's nat getting really weirded out by the idea of misty talking to men. two of the weirdest most pathetic to ever do it
the baby tai flashback scenes are honestly some of my favorites for her I think they reveal sooo much about her insecurities and fears especially re: the Wilderness. specifically the amount of religious iconography connected to her fear of death... pondering
