Averagely a 30seconds TikTok video in 720p is 8mb. In 1080p it is 15-20mb If you watch 10 in 720p that’s 80mb and most of us don’t even know how to force our devices to use 720P always. Alongside that, TikTok/Whatsapp and Twitter downloads the next video in the background even if you watch it or not. The maths we’ve done is for a 30seconds video. Now imagine you use your data for TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp and Twitter. Watching videos for 3hours. You’ve moved from 30seconds to 3hours. It’s just funny when I see people blame MTN/Orange for their data usage. You want fast internet but forget that fast internet means more data usage per second.

The Yango driver I got this morning was literally falling asleep while driving. When I noticed, I asked if he was drunk, he said he was exhausted from working all night. I had to keep engaging this man in conversations till we got to my destination.
