We cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that there are children who do not go to school. We cannot silence our conscience when we see a mother lacking the means to feed her children. We cannot ignore the many people around us who are suffering, alone and vulnerable. We need to commit ourselves to the charity and closeness of the Good Samaritan who did not remain indifferent upon seeing misfortune, but took responsibility for his brother’s life. Trump: "I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026. Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff — She has done a great job! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
I love how Republicans are literally begging Chuck to step down. I will be absolutely shocked if this type of pressure works.
With all earned respect, I encourage good friend @ChuckGrassley to reconsider his decision not to retire from US Senate.
His service is legendary.
Drop the mic with great and rightful applause by showcasing cause/Iowa/Country above self.

Mississippi fun fact: Scott Colom was nominated to be a federal judge by Joe Biden. And he was blocked by… Cindy-Hyde Smith, via the blue slip process. Now Colom leads Hyde-Smith by 1,138 votes in what would be the upset of the century.

Scott Colom is going to be the next Senator from Mississippi. I am proud that Elias Law Group is leading the legal effort to ensure that happens.

Iowa DL Kenneth Merrieweather said that it has been a priority to be there for Drew Campbell (Jack Campbell’s younger brother) throughout the past couple of days.
"It's making sure that he's comfortable. That situation is very hard on some people especially when it's their sibling. Being able to lift up his spirits and give him some courage and just being there for him. Letting him know that if he needs anything-- don't hesitate to reach out. It takes a lot of weight off some guys shoulders when they got their other brothers with him every single day— to be able to pick him up when things are going bad. Being able to be there for him, lift up his spirits and continue to play the game that he loves."

Chris Murphy’s chief says the 53-year-old Democratic senator had a stroke.
“Yesterday afternoon, Senator Murphy started experiencing numbness in his arm while at his son’s hockey game. He was taken to a local hospital, where it was discovered he had experienced a stroke. He was transferred to Johns Hopkins for further monitoring and is responding well to treatment. The doctors are encouraged by his progress, he is awake and alert, and we are optimistic he will make a full recovery.”

Dr. Roger Marshall’s closing argument is sixty seconds of him explaining why sending single mothers to collections at 18% interest on their medical bills was actually fine.

Rob Sand on Zach Lahn: "Apparently, I've been going a little bit too easy on him because we just learned last week that when he actually cast his ballot in 2024, he had them mail it to him in Kansas. Here we are giving him credit for kinda being around in 2024, and then nope — turns out we were wrong."

NEW: The Holy See Press Office confirms our story.
Pope Leo XIV has voted in the 2026 midterm elections.
NEW: Pope Leo XIV is set to become the first sitting pontiff in the Catholic Church’s two-thousand-year history to vote in a secular election.
Leo requested an Illinois mail ballot on Oct. 3, and it was sent to his brother John’s home in New Lenox, Ill.
John Prevost visited the pope at the Vatican on Wednesday and may now be carrying the ballot back to the Will County clerk by hand. thelettersfromleo.com/p/pope…
