Now a bad ending can be done right ofc but saying solely because he doesn’t die it’s bad is extremely stupid Imagine following a show for, let’s say, 15+ years, and instead of achieving his goal like it not ending in brother bloodshed or saving his parents or anything he just dies. The whole point of this is to show he's at his lower mentally. While his revenge is legit, he's wrong for doing this but that's the point: before this arc he's shown to rescue them, but in this one he leaves Suigetsu and Juugo behind and stabs Karin.

And this is what he does in return. I LOVE Sasuke as a character but people need to stop acting like he's a righteous avenger. Is he right to feel anger? For sure. Is that licence to betray people who have risked everything for you? Of course not.

Also Naruto hasn't really been the kind of franchise to do a bittersweet ending. Even with everything the manga's been doing imho has building to the exact opposite. I do think Omnipotence won't ever be reversed though.

There is a weird thought process where people think a tragic character deserves an equally tragic end, when in some cases that COULD work; for Boruto specifically, I see his goal of reuniting the Uzumaki family together including him.

Whether it’s a sad or happy ending I can imagine for e.g Boruto seeing everyone happy as hes all alone, protecting the world from the shadows, OR a happier ending where everything’s normal and he reaffirms that to endure, no matter what… is what it means to be a ninja 🤧

I don’t see Boruto nor Kawaki (he’s more likely though) dying at all. I think a lot of people forgot Boruto will mark the end of the Naruto franchise as a WHOLE too. We’re probably gonna get a happy alls well that ends well ending (which is not bad btw)
