Walked Thomas a couple days ago for Ada 👅 More volunteers are helping through Monday, so I’ve been getting some much needed “rest” Didn’t sleep at all last night though.. pulled my first all nighter on twitter in over 2 years Haven’t been this excited about Ada all year Feeling like things are about to get fun again 👀

Aseman Bali Dog Association was struggling this month to get food for their dogs so Ada helped them out 🐾 Aseman is the biggest dog shelter on Bali and they seriously do not turn dogs away at all like most shelters do They have a lot of land and they plan to just continue growing and helping as many dogs as possible This is the second time now that Ada has bought food for them but I’m sure we’ll be doing more to help them out in the future They have a big family, and it’s only family members that have ever helped at the shelter, and I was able to spend a lot of quality time with them when I was there volunteering for Ada One day they picked me up saying we were going to feed street dogs & they ended up driving me 4 hours to the other side of the island to see monkeys 😹 I spent almost every day with them for 3 weeks and by the end of it they told me I could move into one of the houses on their land and just be part of the family helping with the dogs for as long as I wanted This journey with Ada really has led me to some very real connections and allowed me to experience these countries in a way most people don’t get to You don’t have to travel to the other side of the world though. If you love dogs there’s a good chance you can find people you have a lot in common with at your local shelter or by helping a local rescue group You’ll most likely enjoy it way more than expected too 🦮

Past couple days volunteering for Ada at Colitas since techo in Cusco, Peru 🐶 One of the kittens managed to sneak into the dogs area this weekend & it was instant chaos Thankfully we were nearby to intervene, but I was still surprised that the kitty didn’t get hurt worse bc it was bad Today we put up some new fencing to make sure it doesn’t happen again The little guy seriously got a second chance at life 🐱❤️ I don’t think it would have turned out this way if I wasn’t there either tbh It’s going to feel strange when I end up leaving Colitas This is the first shelter I’ve volunteered at where they’ve desperately needed my help so I’m not in any rush

While the market does its thing, Ada keeps showing up for dogs 🐶 Yesterday, we covered some surgeries that these dogs at Colitas sin techo have been needing They’re recovering at the shelter owners house now ❤️‍🩹🐾 The mission doesn’t stop when the charts turn red

Ada is about to be loading this truck up with dog food again for Aseman Bali Dog Association It’s the biggest dog shelter in Bali & they were struggling again this month to get all of the food for the dogs

Ada has Lanna Care for Animals Foundation in Chiang Mai looking completely different than when I was there this summer volunteering They’ll be able to bring in more dogs from the streets now with these new fencing enclosures & the new dog houses are a big upgrade from their old ones 🐶🏡 The new hallway and gates will make it much easier to access the different enclosures also When everything is finished there will be signs thanking Ada on Solana for the donation 👍
