Side angle looks like no swing, overhead looks like a swing. Close. Probably the right call.

You're ridiculous. So clear it wasn't going out. It wasn't going to hit his glove, nevermind his head. It was coming down at a steep angle, would have hit the wall, and he would have had a stand up double. This did not matter.

Doubtful it's a triple to left field. Regardless, next batter struck out, inning over. The idea that this impacted the outcome is pure fantasy.

It would have been a double and...it was a double. Highly unlikely it's a triple to left field. Regardless, it doesn't change the outcome. Double, triple, whatever - either way, he's left on base. Next batter struck out. Inning over. 4-3. It had zero impact on the outcome.

Oh and giving entitled Yankees fans another excuse to feel aggrieved.

This is such a dumb description of what happened. It wasn't a home run. It clearly would have hit the wall. The only effect of the fan interference was momentarily confusing everyone by making them think it was a home run. It wasn't. With or without fan interference.

That ball was so clearly not going out. It would have been close, but it was absolutely coming down too fast and would have hit the wall. Fan interference had no bearing on the outcome.

What I don't understand is, how can anyone look at this angle and think that ball is going out? It would have been close, but clearly hitting the wall. Fan interference had no bearing on the outcome.

Wow, still glad he lost, but I respect him so much more is this is true. This was the norm not long ago. Still should be.

Oh, they said they need the orange (carfboard) box back to process the return too! So disappointing. @Hermes_Paris has lost me as a customer.

Recently bought another belt kit (buckle and strap) from @Hermes_Paris. Liked the buckle, didn't like the strap color. Processed the return for the strap, sent it back, got a confirmation email. Today they emailed me and said they can't process the return without the buckle.

Hey there, so nice to hear from you! Yeah, I miss Bob, but I agree, the new coverage is generally very solid. They do good work. Now, just wondering what will become of the season.... How are things with you?

Strange interpretation. If you wanna claim he was out of the field of play, that might be valid. But he clearly makes the catch if the fans weren't there.

@Citi locked my friend's checking account 2wks ago due to THEIR clerical error. He's been on the phone every day, emailed the CEO, visited the branch. Every day they promise it will be resolved by EOD. All lies. Checks are bouncing, can't get cash. Just imagine! #BoycottCITI

Perhaps if it wasn't on the heels of flatulent V6s, DRS, fuel-saving, anti-competitive regs, paved runoff, etc, etc, I could have shrugged it off. But for me, it's tarnished what little luster the sport had left. I'm glad you don't feel the same way.
If he can't accept that risk, there are other sports he can play. So to me, halo wasn't needed. It's taking safety further than makes sense (to me) and in the process has ruined the aesthetics of the car. What's worse to me is what it represents - an ever-more-sanitized F1.

You're assuming that if halo saves a life, I will think it's justified. I don't. I'd never want a return to the risks of the past. But mortal risk has a place in F1. A driver shouldn't expect to die in a racing car, but he should be prepared for the possibility.

I always believed it would save someone sooner or later. Still don't support it. Never will. SOME danger in motorsport is ok. F1 was plenty safe before making the cars unbearably ugly. But, not my decision to make. And I'm glad it hasn't detracted from your enjoyment.

So I hear. Glad you're enjoying it!

Still don't like halo, and still not watching. Just not #F1 to me anymore. Hasn't been in a while, I suppose. Glad you're still enjoying it. Makes me sad that I can't get excited about it anymore. I miss #F1.
