Watching Manchester City vs Brighton has made me realise a few things:
• Enzo Fernández cannot keep starting. I genuinely struggle to see what he offers this team.
• Khusanov needs to be more disciplined with his positioning. He overlaps far too much.
• Elliott Anderson, what a baller. City have got themselves a serious midfielder.
• Maresca's decision to bench Rayan Cherki is another questionable tactical decision. Why leave one of City's most creative players out when the team needs someone who can unlock defences?
• Ayyoub Bouaddi deserves more opportunities. There's a very good player developing here.
• City need to stop making costly individual mistakes.
Maresca needs to get his selection and tactics right. Having quality players means nothing if you don't use them properly.
