Watching the Alonso/Diaz press conferences today, #Mets fans shouldn’t be mad. It’s two sides of a coin in the sports business. Diaz focused on wanting to be part of a winning organization, Pete focused on the care given to him and his family. The Mets failed them both. #LGM

What some organizations fail to realize is that, while it is a business, a big component to building a winning culture is personal stability and operating on a positive frequency. The Mets made a historic run in 2024 solely because of this. “Vibes don’t lie” is a real thing.

The Mets were a few pieces away from being major contenders each year. The top of the lineup was loaded. Needed healthy starting pitching and 1-2 solid pieces in the pen. Not re-signing major glue guys because “analytics” imploded this team. Numbers over faith makes players walk.

What shouldn't get lost in all of this #Isles signings excitement is that we may actually win a shootout in the next few seasons with all of these young kids!

JUST IN: The ongoing geomagnetic storm has been upgraded to level 5 out of 5, or "extreme," making it the first G5-level storm since 2003. Scientists are warning of potential disruptions to communications over the weekend. GPS, spacecraft and satellite navigation may also be impacted. U.S. utility companies are monitoring the potential threat to the power grid as well according to CNN. The video below was posted by BBC Meteorologist @MetMattTaylor. "This is the astounding view as far south as Switzerland a short while ago… on top of Jungfraujoch," he posted.

Absolutely no idea why Roy started Sorokin. Varly wasn’t the problem. Sorokin is still a great goalie, but he’s struggled with screened shots all year and that’s all Carolina does. Horrendous decision that may be what does the team in after already being down 2-0 in series #Isles

Normally, I’d say ESB, but since this theater is set in the desert, I would have to watch A New Hope. Why? This: First half, I’ll feel like I’m on Tatooine with everyone while it’s light out. Then it’s dark out, under the stars, we’re on the Death Star/in space. Hell yeah.
