Octopuses are tricky to research: They sometimes eat one another, escape their enclosures, and females die shortly after laying their eggs. Now, a lab in Massachusetts may have found an octopus that can serve as a “model organism” in research. via @nytimes

Hi there! Finally wrote a more thorough reply for you. Sorry again for the misunderstanding! xitter.cf/DrAnnaFunk/status/1482…
In a recent @SciCommPLOS post I attempted to share frustrations that "learn to #scicomm" stuff I'd encountered was always geared at scientists & how that's different from science journalism. People got the wrong message (sorry!) so here's my reply:

Hello @DrAnnaFunk & @SciCommPLOS:
Lots of issues with your article below which excludes a significant fraction of #SciComm practitioners & conflates the view that only scientists do SciComm!
So here's a quick Venn diagram to visually summarise my point!
scicomm.plos.org/2021/08/18/…
I, however, disagree with some points in this article.
Happy to read the comments in this article that people share a similar belief.
But it doesn't hurt to gain a perspective here ⬇️
