#NeurIPS2021 Today I'll present our work on momentum methods bit.ly/3DAapJs. Studying the exact learning dynamics with DMFT on a high-D non-convex model, we show that although the algorithm provides a clear speed-up, it doesn't improve the algorithmic threshold wrt GD.
