Voted this morning. It will always be weird and disconcerting to see my name on the ballot while voting.

I rarely (never) tweet politics on here...
But any of my Sooner (or Aggie, Longhorn or Red Raider) followers who live in Texas: Vote for @ScottKingField for 15th Court of Appeals!
Early voting starts today! This is a statewide election, so I’m on the ballot for and serve all Texans. I ask for your vote. Thank you!
Thanks Joe!
Honored to encourage all Texans to support & vote for my friend Justice @ScottKingField for the statewide 15th Court of Appeals. He’s an honorable jurist, family man, and selfless leader!

Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 19.
Seeing all this discussion of state-wide candidates unwilling to debate. I wish I could debate my opponent—and have more than 10 people watch 😂.

When you go to vote in Texas, don't only pay attention to the top of the ticket. Your judges probably make a bigger impact on your day-to-day life than many of the others on the ballot. I've known Scott Field for a long time and would encourage you to vote for him no matter what he runs for.
I finally got a chance to listen to this episode, and I think it turned out great! Thanks for having me on!!
"I thought I knew what it was like to be a trial judge. And the truth is, I didn't."
Justice @ScottKingField of the Fifteenth Court of Appeals, ep. 175. For trial lawyers: bring a proposed order, an accurate jury charge, and appellate counsel at trial.

Glad you got out of there in one piece!
Texas and OU had to be separated moments after the game ended.
Texas players chirped with “y’all still suck” before Steve Sarkisian corralled his group back to the sideline.

I say this every 2 years, but I do not think having partisan elections for every judicial post is the best way of doing judges.
I say it consistently so no one thinks I’m saying it because this or that party is going to win this time. It’s just a very clunky system.
The storm in Liberty Hill right now is no joke! Some of the strongest straight-line winds I’ve seen here. #atxweather
Proud to have the endorsement of the Houston Association of Women Attorneys as I seek re-election to the 15th Court of Appeals.

This is a journalistic disgrace. A disgrace.
Jury service is a sacrifice that many of us attempt to avoid. But jurors are essential, and neither the American criminal nor civil justice system can function without them. Moreover, the jury system provides a powerful protection for the criminally accused, as unanimity among jurors of diverse backgrounds and experiences is difficult to achieve. Holdout jurors are a feature of the American jury system, not a bug.
For a media outlet—specifically Boston NBC 10—to expose the personal life of a private person merely because that individual honorably performed his civic duty and devoted weeks of his life to jury service is shameful.
Who in their right mind will appear for jury service if they know they can be publicly humiliated and dragged just because some media outlet or finger-wagging mob believes they voted the “wrong” way? This disgraceful “reporting” by Boston NBC 10 is an attack on the foundation of the American justice system itself. Shame.
EXCLUSIVE: The holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial had a history of domestic violence allegations, the NBC10 Boston Investigators have learned through court documents and interviews with family members. Read the full investigation here. on.nbcboston.com/FL2Wbjr
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Massachusetts law prohibits anyone “to engage in an act directed at a [juror] that seriously alarms or annoys such person” with a penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment.

If you’ve never seen this before, watch it, please. And remember.
God Bless America.
May we forever honor the fallen. The innocent men and women who went to work that morning and never came home.
The heroic patriots in uniform, and in street clothes like Welles Crowther, who gave all to save others.
25 years. We remember clearly how shocking it felt to be under attack, how painful it was to watch our innocence fall.
May we never forget.
God Bless America.
