Your children often learn from the exceptions you make and the things you tolerate, just as much as the things you promote.
THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD: THE CROSS
Want to see the attributes of God displayed together in one glorious act?
Look to the cross of Jesus Christ.
At Calvary...
His HOLINESS was displayed in His hatred of sin.
His JUSTICE was satisfied as Christ bore the penalty for our sins.
His WRATH was poured out upon Christ, our substitute.
His LOVE was demonstrated in giving His only Son for sinners.
His MERCY was revealed in sparing guilty sinners from the judgment they deserve.
His GRACE was displayed in granting salvation to the undeserving.
His WISDOM was revealed in His perfect plan of redemption.
His SOVEREIGNTY was demonstrated as Christ fulfilled God's eternal purpose.
His FAITHFULNESS was proven in keeping His promises of salvation.
Romans 3:26 declares that God is both "just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus."
At the cross, God's attributes were displayed in perfect harmony.
The more we understand who God is, the more we stand in awe of what He accomplished through Jesus Christ.
To God alone be the glory!
Want a relationship that actually lasts?
Butterflies fade, feelings fluctuate, disagreements happen, and life gets really difficult.
So, what actually keeps two people together when romance alone isn't enough?
The Bible gives us three powerful answers that every couple needs to understand.
Whether you're dating, engaged, or married, this is worth reading.

Men, if God has blessed you with a wife and children, He has entrusted you with a tremendous responsibility.
Love your wife sacrificially. Be faithful to her. Cherish her. Let her see Christlike love in how you speak to her, serve her, and treat her. (Eph. 5:25)
Your children need more than your provision. They need your presence, patience, instruction, discipline, and godly example. (Eph. 6:4)
Lead your family in prayer. Open the Bible with them. Make your home a place where God's Word is honored and obeyed. (Deut. 6:6-7)
When you sin against your wife or children, humble yourself. Confess it. Ask forgiveness. Show them what genuine repentance looks like.
Remember, your family sees the man you are when nobody else is watching. Be the husband who points his wife to Christ and the father who teaches his children to follow Him.
That is a legacy worth leaving.
Repentance is the true turning of our life to God, a turning that arises from a pure and earnest fear of Him; and it consists in the mortification of the flesh and the renewing of the Spirit.
- John Calvin
Some prayers are answered with "yes." Some with "no." Some with "wait."
But no prayer from a child of God is ignored.
Your Father hears you. Keep praying.
Want to become a truly strong man?
Fear God more than man. (Prov. 29:25)
Flee sexual immorality. (1 Cor. 6:18)
Control your anger. (Prov. 16:32)
Love your wife sacrificially. (Eph. 5:25)
Lead your family in the Lord. (Eph. 6:4)
Stand firm in sound doctrine. (Titus 2:1)
Resist temptation. (James 4:7)
Humble yourself before God. (1 Pet. 5:6)
Endure suffering faithfully. (James 1:12)
Be courageous in the faith. (1 Cor. 16:13)
Above all, follow Jesus Christ. He is the perfect example of godly manhood.
THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD: BEAUTY & PERFECTION
God is the very standard of all that is beautiful, excellent, and perfect.
There is no flaw in His character.
No deficiency in His nature.
No imperfection in His works.
No limit to His glory.
"One thing have I asked of the LORD...to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD."
- Psalm 27:4
God possesses every perfection in infinite fullness. His holiness, love, wisdom, goodness, and righteousness are eternally and perfectly beautiful.
Nothing can be added to make Him better. Nothing can be taken away to diminish His glory.
And one day, those who belong to Christ will behold His glory in a way we can scarcely imagine today.
God is infinitely beautiful, absolutely perfect, and eternally worthy of our worship.
A good church is a Bible-centered church. Nothing is as important as this--not a large congregation, a witty pastor, or tangible experiences of the Holy Spirit.
- Alistair Begg
The Lord's Day is upon us! Let us go to the house of the Lord with gladness and sing His praises.
May Christ and Him crucified and risen be proclaimed from every pulpit worldwide!
Should nothing of our efforts stand, no legacy survive,
Unless the Lord does raise the house, in vain its builders strive.
To you who boast tomorrow’s gain, tell me, what is your life?
A mist, it vanishes at dawn, all glory be to Christ.
Jesus said, "You will recognize them by their fruits." (Matthew 7:16)
You can claim to love Jesus, quote Scripture, attend church, and plaster Bible verses all over social media.
But if your life is marked by unrepentant sin, habitual lying, pride, hatred, and rebellion against God's Word, your profession of faith deserves serious examination.
A rotten tree cannot produce good fruit. (Matthew 7:18)
Your mouth may profess Christ while your life denies Him. (Titus 1:16)
And God is not fooled.
