Been a bit of a morning. Been researching alternatives to cremation / burial; specifically...cryogenics.
I was surprised to find several legit companies & institutions doing it. Of course none have successfully revived anyone but some have put organs through the process and implanted them in animals and it worked. So...progress.
Anyone I look at it this way:
Cremated --> dead & gone
Buried --> dead & gone
Cryo --> *chance* of more life
Biggest hurdle, pricing. Brain only isn't crazy horrible pricing but full body is; quite expensive. I think the brain cost would be fine without a burden on my family...body, definitely would be a burden.
Wife & mom both hate the idea (not that I really care what the latter thinks, she's pretty horrible).
