Five passages explicitly exclude works as the basis of justification, and your rebuttal is that they don't contain your preferred vocabulary? 😂 Romans 3:28 — APART FROM works. Romans 4:5 — DOES NOT WORK but believes. Ephesians 2:9 — NOT a result of works. Galatians 2:16 — NOT justified by works. Philippians 3:9 — NOT having a righteousness of my own. I'm sorry the educational system failed you so spectacularly. Apparently, nobody taught you that the same truth can be expressed without using the exact same word.

Three Essential Biblical Doctrines Every Christian Should Understand: 1. Original Sin (Romans 5:12; Psalm 51:5) Humanity is fallen in Adam. We are not born morally neutral but inherit a sinful nature. 2. Federal Headship (Romans 5:18–19; 1 Corinthians 15:22) Adam represented humanity in the fall. Christ represents His people in redemption. Through Adam came condemnation; through Christ comes justification. 3. Penal Substitutionary Atonement (Isaiah 53:5–6; 2 Corinthians 5:21) Christ willingly bore the penalty our sins deserved, satisfying divine justice and securing redemption for His people. The Gospel makes no sense without understanding the problem of sin, our condemnation in Adam, and the saving work of Jesus Christ. In Adam, condemnation. In Christ, redemption. Soli Deo Gloria.

You're confusing man's bondage to sin before regeneration with the believer's freedom in Christ after regeneration. Reformed theology teaches BOTH. John 8:34 Man is enslaved to sin. John 8:36 Christ sets sinners free. Romans 6:18 Believers are freed from sin and become slaves of righteousness. You literally quoted a passage that supports the Reformed position. Christ doesn't merely offer freedom. He actually sets His people free.
Bondage to sin is part of Reformed doctrine. New Testament doctrine teaches victory.

Assurance of salvation is not presumption when it's grounded in Christ's finished work rather than our own righteousness. “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:13 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 Biblical assurance rests on Christ's promises, not human merit. Calling that assurance sinful presumption confuses trusting Christ with trusting yourself.
"I'm 100% sure I'm going to heaven." Friendly reminder, presumption is a sin.

In a godless universe governed by blind, unguided processes, suffering and death are entirely expected. Evolution offers no promise of fairness, justice, or protection from tragedy. Christianity doesn't deny suffering; it explains why we live in a fallen world and offers the hope that death will not have the final word.
It's Sunday. Millions of Christians are thanking god for waking them up, while thousands of children who prayed to the same god never woke up. Explain how that works.

Jesus: “I will build MY Church.” Rome: “And we'll claim exclusive ownership, install an infallible pope, and declare our traditions binding.” Protestants: “Let's test those claims against Scripture.” Funny how Rome thinks correcting doctrinal error is attacking Christ's Church. Christ is the Head of the Church, not the pope. Colossians 1:18.
Jesus: “I will build my Church.” Protestants: “We’ll reform it.”

The tragedy isn't a lack of access to Scripture. It's placing the authority of Rome above the authority of God's Word. Jesus rebuked those who elevated human traditions over God's commandments (Mark 7:8–9). The gospel is clear: justification by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Romans 3:28.
How are you a Roman Catholic in 2026 with all the information at your fingertips? Gods word is right there read it.

The irony of Rome accusing Protestants of adding to the Gospel is remarkable. Paul explicitly teaches justification by faith apart from works (Romans 3:28). That's not an addition. That's Scripture. Rome, meanwhile, added to Scripture by inventing purgatory, indulgences, and Marian doctrines. Sola Fide isn't another gospel. It's the biblical answer to how sinners are justified. Galatians 1:8–9 is a warning Rome should take seriously.
Today Protestants celebrate false additions they made to the gospel which place them under Paul’s anathema.

Unity at the expense of biblical truth isn't the unity Christ prayed for. You quoted John 17:21. Try reading John 17:17: “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” The Reformers didn't divide the Church for sport. They challenged doctrines they believed contradicted Scripture. The Gospel is worth defending. Truth is worth standing for. Unity in Christ, not unity at any cost. Happy Reformation Day!
Reformation pride is disgusting. Even if you agree with the Reformers, it should, at the very least, grieve your soul that you continue to splinter and separate. Why should it grieve your soul? Because it grieves His. “That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.” John 17:21 (NIV)
