Panthers OL continues to struggle as the Packers have gotten a pressure on 47.6% of dropbacks and Bryce has been down tremendously bad when pressured (via @SumerSports)

The NFL Trade Deadline is expected to have a lot of fireworks
Here's 20 trade candidates estimated values

After talking to several NFL teams and GMs over the last hour, my expectation is the trade deadline will be even crazier than anticipated. Chicago’s all-in move will cause other teams to react and try to be bold as well.
In the words of one source: “All hell is going to break loose over the next week and a half. Get your popcorn ready.”

Panthers vs Packers thoughts before kickoff:
I think Hubbard gets quite a few receptions and the GB offense runs through Watson. Would expect GB to win this game and Bryce Young to be held under pass 250 yards.
2 TDs for Love, 1 for Jacobs, final score something like 24-17
The Bears are coming into Lumen Field for a loud, raucous, primetime home game against a Seahawks defense that is still the best in the NFL. Would expect to see Chicago suffer from false starts and offensive holding in this game. Could be a very rough night for the Bears offense.
#CHIvsSEA officiating crew cheat sheet
Seattle is 7-4 all-time w' referee Shawn Smith, the most recent win their dominant 29-13 SuperBowl LX victory in February
Seattle has only played two of their 11 games w' Smith at home, w' an 0-2 SU & ATS record, w' those games dating back to the Pete Carroll era
An above avg 51% of #Bears overall penalties are via OFF-HOLD/FALSE STARTS, far higher than the #NFL avg of 39.6%
Chicago ranks as the No.1 penalized ROAD team for OFFENSIVE HOLDING
Seattle rank as a top 5 penalized team for FALSE STARTS
Shawn Smith's crew have adopted a "let 'em play" approach in 2026, averaging the third FEWEST penalties per game
However,of penalties called this season, they have assessed a disproportionately high 51% of their overall penalties via OFFENSIVE HOLDING & FALSE START
It goes without saying, whichever team navigates that combination the best has a big advantage on MNF w' these guys in charge
The @ChicagoBears offense is a top five BENEFICIARY of AUTOMATIC 1st DOWNS via penalty
This crew's "let 'em play" approach has resulted in them awarding the second FEWEST AUTOMATIC 1ST DOWNS via penalty in 2026
The one area Smith's crew have focused on defensively is DEFENSIVE HOLDING
The Seahawks rank as the No.1 BENEFICIARY & No.1 most penalized team for UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS
No referee has called more UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS penalties dating back to 2023 than Shawn Smith, although he hasn't enforced it at the same rate in 2026
Those are some key points
Chicago has reduced the PRE-SNAP infractions compared to last season, but it still looms as an issue, especially in Seattle & vs this defense
The game itself, if Caleb Williams & Ben Johnson get a win vs Seattle in their house in a primetime window, it would represent a power shift in the NFL
That may be easier said than done though
Additionally, this could be a preview to a potential playoff game between these teams in January, & the outcome will have ramifications for home field in the NFC
Seattle put it all together vs KC last week, recapturing the form that saw them win it all in 2025
Chicago's offensive firepower will make this contest more competitive, but defense wins championships
And the @Seahawks "Dark Side" defense will be the best unit on the field in this match-up & they would benefit big-time if Smith's crew "let em play" vs a high powered Chicago offense
Thats enough for me to side w' Seattle again this week, getting the win & cover as -3 pt favorites at home on #MNF

Mike Macdonald confirms that Quenton Nelson will play left guard for the Seahawks -- the only position he's played in the NFL -- and that Grey Zabel will move to right guard.
The Seattle Seahawks are taking on a team a tier above them, the Chicago Bears, on Monday Night Football this week. Big opportunity to prove that the team from Weeks 1-6 is behind them.
Week 8 Power Rankings
The NFC North is absolutely stacked and the Ravens miss Lamar.

3 seed - ATL / KC
4 seed - NYG / CIN
5 seed - CHI / NE

YaYa Diaby? 🤔
The Seahawks could continue to be active at the trade deadline, per @JFowlerESPN
“Seattle has already made a move with the deal for Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson. Edge rusher and running back are positions Seahawks GM John Schneider could monitor, as well.”

Interesting. Quenton Nelson wanted to be traded to a contender and chose Seattle, which offered less draft compensation than other teams who were interested. Good on the Colts organization for doing right by him.
