Myself & @ThomasBurton12 are carrying out research into the short & long term psychological impact on police officers of witnessing prehospital resuscitative thoracotomy. Please re-tweet, share & send to anyone you think it might be relevant to.

The Liverpool incident makes me reflect on the therapeutic vaccum during major incidents. At first look, it seems there were significant early interventions from bystanders (medical and non medical) . Although our paper talked about terrorist incidents and this one has been ruled

Early ‘24, my wife & I rescued an ex-racing Greyhound We think she was retired/abandoned due to health (& the expense that came w/ it) After a tough year, she’s doing amazing & has just had her first Christmas (at the age of 6) I’d like to share a photo of THE happiest dog /1

But ultimately, my opinions are reinforced I never really planned to speak out, but through this, I’ve heard enough conspiracy theorist claims (seeking to denounce my own experiences & undermine number of key animal welfare charities) /1.3

Every trackside death, every scar, every cigarette burn, every poorly socialised & reactive dog, every fractured hock, every spinal injury, every ‘non-profitable commodity’ abandoned is one too many bluecross.org.uk/why-its-tim… bluecross.org.uk/campaign/En… rspca.org.uk/getinvolved/cam…

This is primarily a professional account where I discuss my work in high threat medicine, paramedicine and policing I posted a picture of my dog who was rescued, shared a link to the centre we got her from and linked to some campaigns to end racing I’m sorry you disagree

For observers, I’ve blocked Ryan He’s clearly pro racing, as many are. I respectfully disagree. I’m happy to debate, but I do not believe he was here to do that sensibly Not that I need to explain, but I won’t be IDing previous owners to prevent any malicious comms Be kind

Defib has lived at Walthamstow Ambulance Station (J4) for 16 years He’s had a longer career w/ the LAS than me & he’s such a positive influence on crew welfare I spent nearly all of the first wave of COVID on a J4 car and I’ve got lots to thank him for change.org/p/save-defib-the-…

A fantastic decision made Thank you Daniel
Replying to @danielelkeles
I have listened to the views of the public and many of our staff and we have now agreed that Defib can remain at Walthamstow Ambulance Station.    Defib is much-loved by staff at Walthamstow Ambulance Station and evidently, he has won the hearts of the public too.
