Acting @SecArmy Adam Telle and Acting Chief of Staff Gen. Chris LaNeve recently spent time with Louisiana State University cadets -- who are among the first to join America's Corps of Cadets, a groundbreaking @SecWar initiative that's expanding the officer commissioning pipeline.
The Army leaders also spent time with cadets at the @LSU vs. @msstate game, and Gen. LaNeve had the honor of firing the pre-game cannon.
Both leaders recognized retired Lt. Col. John Purdy for his 22 years of distinguished service and over two decades as LSU's head men's athletic trainer.
Gen. LaNeve thanked LSU for its long and storied history contributing to the U.S. military, telling cadets "Now you all are part of that history."

On September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorists carried out a cowardly attack and murdered nearly 3,000 Americans.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward the danger, and the families who still carry that loss.
We will never forget.

The Future of American Defense
@SecArmy
Warfare is at an inflection point, and the Army is replacing the old playbook with commercially developed, modular technology that can be deployed and improved quickly.
We're looking for founders building low-cost interceptors, next-generation sensors, drones, resilient logistics, advanced manufacturing, and hardware that can survive the world’s harshest environments.

Since 1775, the U.S. Army has defended this nation and the Stars and Stripes. For 250 years, generations of Soldiers have answered the call with courage, duty, and sacrifice. We stand ready to defend this great nation for the next 250 years and beyond. 🇺🇸

Pleased to discuss with Secretary of the @USArmy Dan Driscoll security topics of shared interest and ways to enhance our enduring RO-US Strategic Partnership, with a special focus on defence and economy. We agreed that there is a need to step up our cooperation in order to take advantage of all defence industry cooperation opportunities, including security innovation, research and start-ups.
Romania continues to be the most reliable US partner and Ally at the Black Sea, where challenges and risks tend to increase, affecting the Euro-Atlantic security. Romania is ready to invest more and to do more for its own security and for Allied security. We are convinced that the security of Ukraine is closely linked to our own security and also to the security of the Republic of Moldova and to the region as a whole.
We both share the assessment that we should diversify efforts to adjust to the existing security environment. There is still a huge potential within the framework of our bilateral cooperation and we are ready to increase all efforts with the aim at achieving more concrete results in areas of strategic interest, to the mutual benefit of our countries and citizens.
