The token's sell hook debited the pair and synced reserves before the full sell input had arrived. The late input then settled against fake reserves and emptied the USDT.

Attackers hit self-hosted instances still on 2.4.1 or older and swept BTC and LTC from the hot wallet, ~$1.63M.

Fair point, and we agree on the conclusion. One precision: in both cases the chain did what it was told. Key custody and monitoring around a centralized operator failed, same class of failure banks have. The difference: it was public in minutes, and 44% got frozen in days.
Mercado Bitcoin, Brazil's largest exchange, lost ~$46M.
• No contract exploit, just standard transfers
• Old deposit addresses swept across 8+ small chains over 4 hours
• Tether froze 4.5M USDT
Dormant addresses are still attack surface.

SCAI is migrating from the V3 contract to a new V4 contract. V4 is now the official SCAI token. V3 is deprecated and is now the legacy token.

- V4 is live on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon and Base
