The South African U15 Boys National team got off to a flying start with an emphatic 8-0 win over The Maldives in their opening match of the inaugural FIFA U15 Boys World Cup and Festival currently underway in Baku, Azerbaijan. Manchester City supporters have been able to sneak their inflatable bananas into the away end at Anfield this afternoon. It has been a trend at City since the 1987-88 season when they had been relegated to the second tier. They had a striker called Imre Varadi, who was called Imre Banana by one fan. That led another fan to bring an inflatable banana with him to the next game and it was a trend that stuck throughout the rest of the 80s and the 90s.
