New Jersey has lost a remarkable public servant who touched the lives in meaningful ways of everyone who knew him.
My heartfelt condolences to the Codey Family, his former colleagues, his many friends and those he served.
The sustained efforts by the Legislature and @GovMurphy to enact laws and policies to reduce crime in New Jersey are producing historic results, including actions that have reduced gun violence and auto thefts.
I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bishop Reginald Jackson. He was an inspirational leader whose influence transcended the worlds of religion, politics and society.
My sincere condolences to the Jackson Family and to everyone who knew and admired him.

Following a series of election issues in Roselle Borough and with a Somerset County voter, I am drafting legislation to strengthen NJ’s voting system - addressing recount standards and any needed corrections to the voter registration process at the MVC.
We will never forget the tragic loss of so many precious lives. We will always remember how firefighters, police, military & everyday Americans became an inspiration for their selfless courage. Their example brought us together in ways that should not be forgotten.

I applaud the County’s leadership exploring its options for the sale of the jail and garnering interest outside of its use as an ICE detention center and ensuring that the voices of the communities and residents we serve are heard.

These are deeply disturbing events with tragic consequences. My condolences to the family of former Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, her colleagues and the people she served. My thoughts are with Senator John Hoffman & his wife Yvette in hope of their full recovery.
We are confronting ominous and dangerous conditions. The targeting of state lawmakers and their families is an attack on democracy and our way of life as Americans. We must stand together in condemning any and all acts of political violence.
