This is 78-year-old Pastor Edward Nalwamba.
He fled persecution in Uganda for his pro-democracy beliefs and has spent decades living and preaching in America.
ICE detained him for 13 months.
Today, ahead of his release, our staff visited the detention facility and asked GEO staff to let him call his caretakers and provide a wheelchair to get him to his ride home. He cannot walk.
GEO staff assured us they would do both. They failed to deliver on either.
No phone call.
No wheelchair.
No human decency.
There is no excuse for this cruelty. None.
While we are celebrating Pastor Nalwamba’s release, we will not stop holding those responsible for this accountable.

Trump’s sweetheart deal with Putin is as backwards and corrupt as it gets.
He continues to sell our country out and does nothing that will make your life affordable.

If Big Tech wants to build a data center, Big Tech should pay for it.
If President Trump agrees, why hasn't he endorsed Senate Democrats’ proposal requiring data centers to pay for their grid infrastructure, the same measure Senate Republicans have refused to bring up for a vote?
This administration's policies are driving energy prices through the roof. Americans need real protections, not more empty promises.

We need a free press to hold this White House accountable a whole lot more than President Trump needs a second swimming pool.
Yet another potential vanity project and distraction from a president who seems focused on everything but lowering costs for American families.

The results have spoken for themselves. Millions in waived application fees each year, helping kids reach their full potential.

The Trump admin continues to try and intimidate voters and election officials. We won’t let them get in the way of Americans making their voices heard in our elections.

Coloradans have paid $2 BILLION more on gas since Trump started his illegal war with Iran.
High prices like this are unsustainable. We need to end the Iran War NOW.
