I'm seriously concerned that this government is determined to send Irish troops for "peace enforcement." We really need to uphold our Triple Lock and allow the Irish people to make their voices heard through a referendum. #TripleLock #ContactYourTDs

This is leadership: taxpayers funding utter nonsense driven by leftist ideology.
The video produced by the DRCC involving grandparents does not represent the views of the Government. It was both inappropriate and demeaning to grandparents and has been removed by DRCC following my officials engagement with them.

Our church leaders are reclaiming their voice.
🚨 IRELAND 🇮🇪 Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan has CONDEMNED the country's growing problems with drugs and violent crime Bishop Cullinan was speaking at the funeral of two parents and their children who were murdered in a drug related incident Under Fianna Fail/Fine Gael, Ireland has become the 4th biggest user of cocaine per capita in the world The bishop said: 'As a country we have not really faced up to this problem and it is a fact that in every city, town, village and townland harmful drugs are available. Up and down this dear land, people are turning to drugs. Young lives and the lives of the not-so-young are being destroyed by drugs, and those who work behind the scenes need to see the consequences of their dark trade and atone for their sin. Pope Francis often said that ‘everything is connected’ and anyone who deals in drugs is contributing to a deadly darkness. Anyone in Ireland who thinks that there is no harm in taking a line of cocaine on the weekend is utterly mistaken and is also feeding this evil machine The use of drugs is a choice and a physical and spiritual problem. The human spirit seeks to be filled by love and meaning. Many people look in the wrong places. I do not come to judge. I ask you all to join with me in saying this must stop. We must see what is happening to our country and our communities. If the demand for drugs dries up then the supply disappears. Please join with me in proclaiming that there is another way to live, a better way to live'

Private companies freezing energy prices are a temporary, partial fix. The State owns the #ESB, which raked in a staggering €377M in profit in just six months. The Govt must stop hiding behind "market rules" and mandate the ESB to slash wholesale prices at source this winter.

It is absurd that the open mockery of our laws on Escort Ireland is tolerated. In Meath alone, 12 trafficked women are advertised daily—equating to 100+ offences a day and tens of thousands for pimps. Yet Gardaí recorded just 1 offence in 90 days. The Justice Minister must answer for this.

After yesterday, I'm increasingly concerned that Europe is settling into a mediocre role in the AI race. Startups might be compelled to look for more accessible markets elsewhere. With one Union and 27 states, the excessive regulation makes it incredibly difficult for tech leaders to consider Europe as a viable option. This was echoed by multiple speakers yesterday including @eileenomara #AISummit
Hello from Dublin airport as I'm leaving the International AI Summit with something close to existential dread from being exposed yet again to the parallel reality in which much of Europe’s political establishment appears to be living. The summit was literally organized around the theme of European competitiveness. Yet from the plenary stage, I heard from mostly American companies (fair play to them, Ireland is home to their international HQs) coupled with European politicians advancing claims that the AI Act, DFA, CADA and other digital rules somehow make European startups more competitive and that regulation is what will stop AI agents from “escaping their sandboxes." Meanwhile, you could walk around the innovation hall and struggle to find any of the major European AI companies that are actually trying to compete at the frontier. Panel after panel returned to the same comfortable and boring platitudes about trust, values, guardrails and responsible innovation. There is an huge disconnect from the real world. In a desperate pursuit of sovereignty for sovereignty's sake and an ever-growing digital maze of bureaucracy, Europe will fall behind in AI. We will have fewer frontier companies, less capital, less compute and dramatically less appetite for risk than the US or China. We will also be incapable of grasping (or, at a minimum, understanding) the opportunities ahead of us. Instead, we keep congratulating ourselves on having built a telegraph cable in the 1800s (!?) and now the world's most elaborate regulatory framework and call that a competitive advantage. One of the few genuinely refreshing interventions came from Siemens CTO and Chief Strategy Officer Dr. Peter Koerte, who spoke frankly about some of the real obstacles European innovators face. I will keep saying this until I'm blue in the face: Europe does not have an AI values problem, it has an AI competitiveness problem. But I’m increasingly worried that many of the people supposed to solve either don't have the intellectual capacity or curiosity to do so. To end on a positive note: the event was super slick, and the logistics were very straightforward. Congrats to the Irish government for their ability to put together a great experience for their guests, for being so welcoming, and attracting a very high caliber of speakers. #AISummitIE #Ireland2026EU

Which NGO was handling this case? It's fascinating to see a state-funded agency seemingly challenging the very entity that supports it! #HowIrelandWorks
The Supreme Court upheld legislation that restricts access to certain welfare payments for beneficiaries of temporary protection who are housed by the State, in a ruling affirming the Oireachtas's discretion in the matter. gript.ie/supreme-court-backs…

Prayers and healing for @Pontifex 🙏
Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

It is just awful how one-sided the health committee has been in censoring evidence, testimonies and lived experience that do not fit preconceived narratives. The public deserves better and democracy deserves better. #ThreeDayWait #Prolife

I raised this issue of adolescent poverty in November 2020. Many young people lack access to sports, gyms, music, and the arts. Last year, I prepared a comprehensive costing analysis on the matter for the Minister of Children and Finance. No young person should feel different or excluded because of their circumstances. 🤞#RecreationalCard #Budget2027 Harris says culture card 'not dead in the water' as government meets to finalise Budget 2027 share.google/1B7ANOw2bBx4vBe…

Hollywood actor Liam Neeson has fallen for a @nytimes hoax. He bought the rights to a NYT @danbarryNYT article and has produced the movie The Lost Children of Tuam. The article claimed nuns dumped the bodies of babies in a septic tank at one of their Mother and Baby homes. Only, after spending millions to disturb and excavate the children’s remains, only coffins have been found... which means these children were buried. And they were not in a septic tank. Progressives will do anything to smear the Catholic Church except tell the truth. Shame on Liam Neeson. Shame on the New York Times. And shame on the Irish government. Let the babies of Tuam rest in peace. #Ireland #LiamNeeson #ChildrenofTuam

🗣️Heads up, parents AI can seriously affect how chikdren and teenagers think and feel, so it is not something to brush off. Things like ChatGPT, chatbots, and virtual boyfriend or girlfriend apps are not a real substitute for actual human relationships. Do not let this quiet monster sneak into your child's thoughts and emotions without you noticing. Wake up, before your child or teen becomes adversely affected. #AI #ChildProtection #TechMonster facebook.com/share/v/14swt8v…

Important piece of journalism on housing stock allocation. @griptmedia Transparency is key and no ethic group should trump 'time spent' on social housing waiting lists. This is what drives anger. #Housing

If we do not protect our children, who will? This minister, along with every other official who permitted a child to be exploited within a medical lie, will be held accountable for such actions. No child is born in the wrong body. #IcelandWarning #CassReport #ChildTransPolicy
As a result of misinformed and dubious reasoning, TD Mary Butler recommends Ireland to follow Iceland’s trans policies instead of following the Cass Review, the largest independent report in the world. And this is what’s going on in Iceland 😱😱😱
