9 days into Season 0, and the Bloomshire community keeps growing These stats are of a web3 game without any token, proving that player driven economy is possible in web3 games. We haven't launched for public yet. Every number below comes from players farming, crafting and trading with each other. 2,957 farms built About 330 farmers playing every day 34,892 orders filled 5,220 trades between players 47,746 items changed hands between 351 farmers Every stall price is set by a player, and every Town Hall sale is paid from one player's wallet to another's. This is what a player driven economy looks like, and we are just getting started.

Let's goo!!
Honestly, these numbers mean a lot to me. We haven't launched publicly yet and we don't have a token, but in the first 9 days of Season 0 our players have already filled 34,892 orders and made 5,220 trades with each other. I genuinely think this is the direction Web3 gaming needs to go. Right now most Web3 games are built around their token. The token comes first and the game is built to support it. People show up because the token pays them, and once the price drops or the rewards slow down, most of them leave. We've seen this happen with so many games already. I think the economy should come from the players instead. Things should have value because other players actually need them, not because a token says they're worth something. That's what we're building with @Bloomshire_ For example, raw food doesn't give you any energy in Bloomshire, you have to cook it first. So a player who spends their day mining needs food, and the cook making that food needs crops and fish from other players. The ore from the caves gets forged into bars, rings and weapons, and even wheat gets turned into rope at the carpenter's bench. Players set their own prices at the Market Hall, and Odette's order board keeps asking for more. None of this needs a token to work. That's how 47,746 items have moved between 351 different players, with over 9 million Gold paid from one player to another. I've said this before, but an economy alone isn't going to keep people around. The game has to be fun first. A lot of Web3 games give you one or two things to do, and after a few days you've pretty much seen everything. We wanted Bloomshire to have a much bigger gameplay loop than that. There are ten skills you can level from 1 to 30. Farming, fishing, mining, woodcutting, foraging, cooking, crafting, combat, animal husbandry and exploration. Your skills also can't get more than 3 levels apart, so you naturally end up doing a bit of everything instead of grinding the same thing all day. You can grow crops through the seasons, raise chickens, ducks and bees, fish in rivers, ponds and a big lake (there's even a fish that only bites at night) and go through twelve cave levels, from copper all the way down to diamonds. There are eight bosses, each weak to a certain kind of weapon, and a dungeon with three difficulties. We also have a proper story. Book One starts on your island and opens up the rest of the valley as you go. Four parts are out right now and the rest are coming. Along the way you get to know the townsfolk, make friends with them and you can even find a sweetheart. And you're not playing alone. There are five towns, a global chat that translates itself into your language, you can visit your friends' islands and trade with people face to face. So there's always something to come back to, whether it's your crops, an order you're working on, a boss you haven't beaten yet or the next part of the story. This is the kind of Web3 game I've always wanted to play, one where people play because they enjoy it and the economy grows from that. We still haven't opened to the public, so this is just the start. If you're a gamer or a creator and you want to see what a player-driven Web3 game looks like, come check out Bloomshire.

BLOOMSHIRE IS NOW BACK FOR SEASON 0! Check some tips below: Follow the quests: Stick to the quest instructions and avoid doing too much before you know what to do next. Manage your energy: Save your energy and avoid wasting it on unnecessary actions. #Bloomshire @Bloomshire_

Choose your mount and pet carefully: For now, pick the mount and pet you want to use wisely, because you can't change your choice once you've selected them.
1
Recover dropped items: If you die and drop your items, you can still retrieve them. Hurry back before other players grab them! There's a cooldown, so other players can't take your items immediately. Check your pet: Sometimes, your pet may pick up your dropped items when you die.

i'm building a game myself and this is exactly why web3 gaming hasn't gone anywhere every project thinks play to earn is what brings players in. it doesn't. it brings farmers, and farmers leave the second the rewards slow down gaming is one of the biggest industries in the world. people spend billions every year on games where they can't earn a single dollar. they pay because the game is fun web3 never goes after those people. web3 developers build thinking traders, airdrop hunters and degens in mind who are already in the space, then act surprised when nobody sticks around almost nobody here is actually building for gamers We need a game people would play even if it paid them nothing. that's the only way this space ever grows Incentive should always come as a bonus in web3 gaming not something which acts as a core attraction for players
This isn't ragebait, clickbait or a joke. I genuinely want to have a meaningful discussion. Web3 gaming is in a really tough spot right now, and I want to keep believing in it and pushing it forward. But man, it's been ages since I've made money while actually having fun. "But what about Cambria Gold Rush?" I spent 7 days creating content, playing 8 hours a day and genuinely having fun. But I didn't make any money because I didn't reach a specific milestone. I'm not saying Cambria is bad. It's not. But it's been a while since a Web3 game has made me genuinely invested in its economy and excited to build alongside its community. Most things I've engaged with have either gone nowhere or ended in disappointment. A lot of people ask me if I'm going to mint X or invest in Y, and honestly, I don't want to. Not because they're necessarily bad investments. Some are already established enough that they could still do a solid 2x or 3x. I just want something new to believe in. Something I can discover early, get invested in, push alongside the community and watch grow. I don't want to keep jumping into things that are already at the top. I want to help build something that gets there. I'll most likely be playing Cambria when it launches. It's still my favorite Web3 game and, quite literally, the most fun I've had playing any Web3 game. This isn't a criticism of Cambria. I just wanted to share what's been on my mind lately. I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Where is Web3 gaming heading? What needs to change? Are there games or ecosystems right now that have given you a reason to believe again? PS: I don't give a fuck if your entire argument is that "Web3 gaming is dead." Give me reasons. Give me data. Explain what went wrong and why. I'm looking for actual discussion, not people hating for the sake of hating.
