How many more times will Brigade Nhamedu leaders be arrested before the Ethiopian government provides honest answers? The same individuals are repeatedly detained, only to be released shortly afterward without any clear explanation. This pattern raises serious concerns about the rule of law, due process, and respect for fundamental rights.
If there is credible evidence that they have committed a crime, present it before an independent court and allow justice to take its course. If there is no legal basis, then these repeated arrests must end immediately.
No citizen should live with the constant fear of being detained without transparency or accountability. Families deserve answers, and the public deserves to know why this continues to happen.
A government's strength is not measured by how many people it can arrest, but by how faithfully it upholds justice, protects civil liberties, and respects the rule of law.
The world is watching. History is watching. Ethiopia must choose transparency over uncertainty and justice over arbitrary actions.
