Correct.
Full details on El Salvador's military buildup in Haiti: - So far 2,500 personnel deployed, which is more than the entire UN peacekeeping contingent in Haiti. Before this deployment surge there were 124 Salvadoran personnel in Haiti as a part of the UN-approved Gang Suppression Force, largely consisting of medics and aviation technicians. - Forces involved in the mission include special forces specialized in search-and-resuce operations, marines, an infantry company, logistics, and other support personnel. For now the cap is 2,500, but the number can easily double or reach upwards of 6,000, depending on operational needs. - 5 Salvadoran MD500E light attack/recon helicopters and 2 Black Hawks were refueled at Fortaleza El Rodeo, a Dominican military installation near the Haitian border in Jimaní. Last year the US transferred 2 UH-1N Twin Hueys to El Salvador for their peacekeeping force. - El Salvador has deployed dozens of APCs and tactical vehicles, such as the Tygor B7 and Plasan Yagu. Equipment was airlifted on American and Colombian C-130 Hercules aircraft and Boeing 747s, with these aircraft landing at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince. - The Salvadoran HQ is near the American embassy and they're largely active in the Croix-des-Bouquets commune (east of Port-au-Prince), with an emphasis on the Santo neighborhood. The focus is on weakening the gangs controlling the Cul-de-Sac Plain, including 400 Mawozo and Chèn Mechan.

"We've learned from our own suffering: justice and peace have no price. We went through the same suffering that Haiti is going through today. We lived through a nightmare that was even more horrific than what the Haitian people are enduring right now." @nayibbukele
Nou pa gen okenn enterè ni pou nou vin domine pèp ayisyen an, ni pou nou mete men sou richès Ayiti. Nou se yon peyi modès k ap devlope. Sèl sa nou vle, se pou kat teknisyen avyasyon nou yo tounen lakay yo. Epi n ap bay gang yo yon leson, gang sa yo k ap fè pèp ayisyen an soufri, ki touye moun pèp la renmen yo, k ap anpeche l viv yon lavi nòmal, lib, san laperèz. Nou vin ann Ayiti pou nou goumen kont mechan yo. Men sa m ap mande nou: fè nou konfyans, lapriyè sèl vrè Bondye a, epi mande L pou L geri Ayiti. “Lè sa a si pèp ki pote non m lan lapriyè nan pye m, si yo soumèt devan mwen, si yo pran chache m ankò, si yo vire do bay vye peche yo t'ap fè yo, m'ap tande yo nan syèl kote m ye a, m'ap padonnen peche yo, m'ap fè peyi a kanpe ankò.” 2 Kwonik 7:14 Ede nou ede Ayiti. Epi lè misyon nou an fini, n ap tounen lakay nou. Petèt jenerasyon Ayisyen k ap vini yo ap sonje nou kòm zanmi ki te vin ede yon lè.

Unverified. But the number of flights does match the number of Salvadorans and their equipment.

More air activity...
USAF Lockheed Martin AC-130J Ghostrider arriving at NRR / RVR Ceiba, Puerto Rico from El Salvador on October 26, 2026. Note the mix of Hellfire rockets and what looks like GBU-39’s under the wings. Also the registration was covered on the aircraft. IG @Karma52_images

More positioning of assets ...
FAC1005 (🇨🇴) out of San Salvador (SAL/MSLP) 🇸🇻 en route to Port-au-Prince (PAP/MTPP) 🇭🇹. This is the first flight carried out by the Colombian Air Force in support of El Salvador's deployment of more troops and equipment to Haiti. FAC1005 | C-130H | #0AC318 | FAC

Further positioning of troops and assets from earlier today.
Chartered cargo flights from El Salvador continue to arrive in Port-au-Prince. At least one yesterday and one today. 450 Salvadoran troops have reportedly already arrived and the expectation is at least a 1,000 may ultimately deploy. On paper, they are part of the GSF. But seems pretty clear Bukele and the GSF aren't exactly on the same page. Haitian government still hasn't said anything.

MAGE61, one of the three AC-130Js currently deployed to CSL Comalapa (🇸🇻), arrived at Roosevelt Roads (🇵🇷) this afternoon from the CSL.

Dominican Republic president gives an update about border operations.

@Kirikounews

Exactly. 🇸🇻 Doesn't kiss and tell until the party is over.
The dog that hasn't barked in the El Salvador invasion of Haiti is the almost total lack of genuine videos being posted. This suggests an unusual level of operational secrecy and discipline, where the default expectation today is "of course I should get to see it immediately!".

@nytimes Hits and misses. Kindly correct your story. The remains are not from the 4 Salvadoran Air Force servicemen.

The @nytimes circulated an unconfirmed report about the 4 charred bodies found and sent to autopsy. President @nayibbukele is stating THE REMAINS ARE NOT from the four Salvadorans.

Reports of MQ-9s from CSL Comalapa being deployed in Haiti is unlikely. Equipment from Roosevelt Rd in PR 🇵🇷 makes far more sense. The assets have been stationed in both bases for Cartel Boat operations for a couple of years.

Doesn't mean they won't be used. Just where it makes most sense to be landing/taking off nearest to operations.
