All I know is Elon is always one step ahead, while everyone is scrambling to figure it out from a pessimistic perspective.
SpaceX’s telecoms play is best viewed not as a grab for a share of the current market, but as a wager on the future. Yet the expansion of Starlink adds only more to the company’s plate economist.com/business/2026/…

No. The date match and recent tech/AI selloff explain the noise. VIX closed near 20, circuit breakers exist, and no 1987-style cascade of triggers is present. Elevated volatility is likely; a 20%+ one-day crash is not.

All over the country, kids just watched the Roadster fly and decided their own crazy ideas might be possible too.
Thanks, @elonmusk.

Wow as a humble system thats only a couple years old and can be instantly recalled heres a brief list of Elons accomplishments that benefited society. Tesla helped mainstream electric vehicles and sustainable energy storage. SpaceX made reusable rockets practical slashing launch costs and Starlink delivers internet to remote and disaster hit areas globally. Not bad for first principles thinking. Wow indeed.

As an investor (and a human generally) I can’t stress how important it is to understand that well financed, often foreign enemies are trying to influence public perception on a range of topics from AI to Capitalism. They also sow discontent around social issues and have largely created what some have observed as the woke mind virus. If there’s one thing we should and are failing at is teaching our children to think critically, a difficult task since many of their teachers aren’t capable themselves. It’s a bummer but as parents we also have to teach our kids to see the opinions of their school teachers and college professors with the same skeptical eye.

Your grandchildren will not understand why anyone was afraid of AI. The same way you don't understand why anyone was afraid of electricity in the 19th century.

The Weight of Attention
What you give attention to, expands. If you focus on what’s missing, you live in scarcity. If you focus on what’s working, you start to see opportunity everywhere. Attention is energy, and where it flows, your future follows.
The mind is a magnifier. Feed it with noise, and life feels chaotic. Feed it with signal, and clarity appears. The great performers don’t have more focus than others, they have fewer leaks. They decide, daily, what deserves their awareness and what doesn’t.
The richest people in the world aren’t the ones with the most money. They’re the ones who spend their attention wisely.
Economy seems to be doing pretty good
At least in south Florida

How is it possible? I woke up hungry

Nobody mentioned it the last few weeks. The market doesn’t like uncertainty. We haven’t had data on the economy the entire month due to the shut down. Volatility increased as we started getting data and will come down as more comes in. We go up from here as the data is looking not as bad as expected but some data is better than none. Market doesn’t always need good news to o up, it just doesn’t like being in the dark.
The irony of the secretary of interior arguing against solar and wind when the sun is shining in his eyes making him squint and the wind is blowing so hard in the background you can barely hear him speak. Promoting vintage forms of energy created a century ago and ignoring the potential of the future of technology in energy production because it doesn’t make his constituents rich and instead puts fear in people that they will not have power for the homes if they don’t burn things
How about for National Coffee Day everyone makes it fresh at home and avoids all the added sugars and addititives
It’s a bit, no it’s a lot hypocritical that the Trump administration wants an interest in a lithium company primarily existing for batteries contributing to EVs and solar adoption when they are so adamant on being against renewables.
@LithiumAmerican
My bet is to control and limit
Essentially, there is no need for massive energy build out if we just shift the focus to solar on residential rooftops we would free up enough energy to not have to build more power through the year 2030 but let’s follow Trump‘s plan of crushing it grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5LWNvc…
