I don't have much to add to this ranking (though I'd put Neo Geo Pocket Color in the Flash Cart tier!) but 3DS getting a 3D compatible Virtual Boy emulator that runs pretty much the entire library at full speed was one of my favorite things I've seen in any homebrew scene

27 years ago, 9 year old me dreamed of making my own homemade Pokedex for Pokemon Yellow... but didn't own a Game Boy Printer. Tonight, after approximately 39 days... it's done. A physically handmade and printed Pokedex with all 151 Gen 1 Pokemon. Kid me would be over the moon.

KH DDD was weirdly the most open I can recall Nomura and the development team being about scrapped/planned Disney content that didn't make the cut IIRC, Symphony of Sorcery was supposed to include both the original Fantasia *and* Fantasia 2000. Firebird Suite would've gone hard.
