In 2022 Albania was hacked, leaked and told to doubt its own government. U.S. agencies and Microsoft blamed Iran; Iran denied it. Albania cut ties anyway.
Then two documents reached us. We checked them claim by claim.

Before it was the 14th state, it was a country.
Vermont declared itself independent in 1777, of New York and New Hampshire as much as of Britain. For 14 years it governed itself, coined its own copper money and ran its own post riders.
On March 4, 1791, it joined the United States as a republic that had chosen the Union.
That habit of going first and going alone has never quite left.

Whoa
Jewish women went 72-28 for Democrats yesterday. Jewish seniors, 68-31.
For the party that just sent Abdul El-Sayed to the Senate.
Stockholm Syndrome at best. At worst, loyalty to a party over the G-d who brought them out of Egypt.
This is suicidal.

North Carolina had to run a federal race twice.
February 2019: the State Board of Elections voted 5-0 to hold a new election in the 9th Congressional District, after hearing evidence about how absentee ballots had been handled in the 2018 race.
The man at the center of the evidence faced more than a dozen state criminal counts. He died in 2022, before trial. Those charges were never tested in court.
Not a long docket of spy trials. A different kind of record.

The Republican Party will be remembered for this failure for generations. False premises produce false conclusions. Math doesn't lie. Honest data reveals truth; corrupted data guarantees flawed decisions and inevitable failure.
July 2017, at the White House: Foxconn said it would invest $10 billion in Wisconsin and create 13,000 jobs.
The state contract that followed authorized $2.85 billion in performance-based tax credits, according to Governor Tony Evers's office.
April 2021: replaced by a contract capped at $80 million.
By December 31, 2024: nearly $717 million invested and 1,242 jobs, as verified by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (Spectrum News 1).
That is one receipt among several.

Who should be fired? Accountability is key ๐

I don't know JD Vance, but I can assure you, Republicans do not have access to anyone that understands large data, the RNC cannot explain what they did or why they did it, the "New World Odor" is alive and well, they made it clear how power is wielded. Who is getting fired, no accountability is the Republican Motto, but why?
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"โwhether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasnโt sharp enough down the stretch. Iโm sure thatโs true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollsterโone of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday weโd lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (Sheโs also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcementโby focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, โI told you soโ: youโre right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Letโs take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
A state born out of a civil war.
On Oct. 16, 1859, John Brown and 21 men raided the federal armory at Harpers Ferry, then in Virginia.
When Virginia voted to secede in April 1861, most of the western counties refused to go along.
Built on coal its miners fought and died to dig, West Virginia is still trying to turn what lies under its hills into a living for the people who live on top of them.

Dec 3, 2025: President Trump pardoned U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, a Texas Democrat, and his wife, Imelda, ending a federal bribery and conspiracy case set for trial the following April (AP).
Prosecutors had alleged the couple took money to advance the interests of an Azerbaijan-controlled energy company and a Mexican bank. Cuellar has said they are innocent.

June 2025: a Chinese national before a federal court in Houston, on a complaint alleging he acted for China's Ministry of State Security.
Oct 2026: searches and other law enforcement action at more than 40 Texas residences in a North Korean laptop-farm investigation (Justice Department).
2023: a state attorney general impeached and acquitted, now his party's nominee for the U.S. Senate.

Look at the Larper republicans, (big L)
See, here's the thing. My daughter is not clairvoyant. She analyzes the date which is why she waited until early voting statistics started coming in before she could even make a call.
She didn't want to tell her X family that the situation did not look good because nobody wanted to hear it. She made a post alluding to it and received many negative comments.
She came up with the plan to tell her friend @realJeremyCarl so that our beloved X community could hold her accountable. Thank you, Jeremy.
She told me that we were in big trouble, and I was devastated. I told two of my trusted friends in confidence which they honored, @CynicalPublius and @JohnStrandUSA. We all hoped she was wrong.
Trust the data is my only takeaway. By that point, it was really too late for a remedy.
And although it seems like a cliche, the truth is that God has not lost control.
