Probably 7-8 years ago I was relatively still young and was coming to the realization true wealth is in investing long term.
So I took 50% of my trading funds and began long term investments.
Why? Because I realized we live in America and money will always be funneled here. Money will always go into our stock market. Money will always go into our economy. Our listed companies will always get bought. Just follow what powerful people do.
If there is a day that money stops funneling into America, well we’re all fucked anyways and I don’t think stock money will matter much anymore for anyone.
Market downturns are a great time to enter long term. Scale in, don’t rush.
In other words, to the people who think they are getting rich overnight trading, believe me you’re not. It’s rare. You need a lot of capital to become a successful trader. I’m not saying don’t trade, trading actually teaches you how the market really works. You learn the daily ins and outs. But if you want long term wealth invest in good companies/funds.

-I excluded all players from the pre segregation era aside from Ruth. I just don’t believe someone who didn’t play against a complete talent pool should be on this list. Ruth is on this list though because on paper he is the greatest player of all time.
- I cannot include Bonds in my top 3. Bonds was a great player pre Balco years. But those BALCO years his WAR surpassed expectations drastically. At ages 36-39 this was never seen before. Steroids played a huge role in how he finished his career. While others were down trending due to age he was uptrending. His pre Balco years still get him in the top 10 though.
-Willie Mays is the greatest of all time. He was the most complete player to ever play post segregation era with longevity, no help from steroids and a 156 WAR.

But under pressure/under stress men don’t react so emotional. And you can see A’ja decision under pressure and stress was the wrong one.
