Per Hasan's editor in a deleted post, Hasan is now restricting independent fan channels in order to funnel viewership to his main channel. Fan channels that do not comply with content restrictions will be shut down via copyright strikes.
Hasan during "react-gate" in 2023: "I do not believe in IP [intellectual property]... I let everyone do whatever the f*ck they want with my IP, that's why there are a hundred thousand HasanAbi fan accounts... YouTube is constantly trying to get me to take them down, and I still advocate for them... I don't care about IP."

Hasan is surprisingly candid, so it’s confusing that so few in the media understand him at all. He does the “I just want everyone to have health care” thing and 99% of journos leave it there.
This article is extremely rare in that the author accurately describes Hasan’s goals.
As I prepared for the interview by researching his commentary, I realized that Piker is right to complain that the handful of frequently repeated controversial statements fail to accurately represent his worldview.
