Some personal news. Last week the world lost a brilliant sports writer and my dear friend Christian Royston in a car accident . I still can’t believe it’s true.
I’ll cherish every memory we had together. Love ya brother.

#49ers QB Brock Purdy now has the highest career passer rating in NFL history among QBs with at least 1,500 attempts:
1) Brock Purdy: 105.4
2) Lamar Jackson: 102.7
3) Aaron Rodgers: 101.8
The final pick in the NFL Draft. Alone on top.

At a loss for words trying to describe tonight. 16 months from hell, but Ames, Iowa was the perfect place to get back to it. I’m a Loyal Son, Forever True. Love y’all forever @IowaStateU❤️💛

I was told Brock Purdy has a noodle arm and can't throw the deep ball?

Iowa cheated during its recruitment of Cade McNamara and is no longer credited with the win in 2023. Last win was in 2021. Almost five full years ago. It’s a shame to see a guy like Kirk Ferentz stoop to that level.
Little late to this week’s @IowaEverywhere two guy’s episode but wth is @ChrisMWilliams smoking about the clones winning 5 in a row?

Just in: The #Cowboys are signing future Hall of Fame OLB Von Miller, per @AdamSchefter.
Miller, who is 37 years old, played last season in Washington and had 9 sacks.
Will always root for D Law.
#Seahawks DE and 5x Pro Bowler DeMarcus Lawrence told @JoriEpstein that the 2026 NFL season will be his last.
The Super Bowl champion spent the first 11 years of his career with the #Cowboys, joined Seattle last year, and has totaled 67.5 career sacks.
