RWAs and rewards are the biggest thing to hit crypto in a while. Memecoins paired with assets are the cultural version of it — that's what actually moves adoption in the native community.
Reward tokens have structural nuances:
— they pay you in a different asset, so bullish holders end up swapping it back by hand
— most don't bother with small amounts, so it sits stale
— put one in an LP or lending market and the contract becomes the holder. rewards go there, not to you
— so reward tokens have been locked out of DeFi entirely
