ALT THEY HEAR BEAUTY A special photo exhibition was held at the Tashkent House of Photography, where for the first time, the works of deaf and hard-of-hearing young people were presented to the public. The author of the project, Husniddin Ato, helps young people discover their hidden talents.

ALT People with hearing impairments have a more developed ability to experience the world through sight; they enjoy the world through images of color, shape, weather, light, and shadow. Photography can open doors of opportunity for them to express themselves. It is not just a skill, but a way to break down barriers in society, to leave behind speech and words to express their worldview and feelings, and to tell stories visually. It is a means of expressing inner feelings, and a way of describing their "world" that they cannot share with anyone else. With the help of light photography, they recognize themselves in a silent world, communicate with the world, express their feelings, and make themselves heard by others. Their photographs are their voice, an important message to the community. Photography is a powerful tool for young people who are deaf and hard-of-hearing to make a statement that they are equal members of society. Young people communicate what they want to say to humanity through images, and this is their contribution to society as creators. Their work is not just images, but
