Did Kenyans really comprehend this statement?
That we can INCREASE our economy by 13% if only we reduced corruption?

A great example of the self-inflicted wounds damaging African countries. A World Bank report estimates that corruption in Kenya adds nearly $3 billion, or the equivalent of 2% GDP, to Kenya's fiscal deficit every single year.
"Kenya's economy could be more than 20 times larger by 2035 if it introduced the sort of anti-corruption reforms seen in countries like Ghana and Senegal, and add 7.7 million more and better jobs."

Discussing Kenya’s political landscape with my Gen Z daughter, she tells me: “Mum, you folks still don’t get it. Your generation waited for politicians to organise the people. Ours expects the people to organise the politicians.”
Same country. Different political software.
It’s insane to think that 15 years ago, this would have probably made it to prime time news: “strange mass phenomenon observed in Chinese neighborhood”
Kenya allegedly spent $900 million more than it should have for a Chinese-built railway because of rampant corruption, fraud and graft bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Imagine dewhipping opposition leaders for doing opposition work. That’s how low the nation has sunk. Him and all his minions MUST GO!
The latest affront on Kenya's democracy can be found in that headline "Nairobi ODM MCAs allied to Sifuna face removal from key Assembly positions". And it is not just the Nairobi County Assembly that is undergoing this. It has become the norm in Parliament and county assemblies across the country.
These are actually elected leaders in the OPPOSITION being dewhipped for doing OPPOSITION duties by OPPOSING the government and providing oversight. Under the supervision of @HonWetangula and @HonAmasonKingi, the two worst Speakers in the history of "speaking", and underwritten by the newest agent of impunity in town, @TheODMparty, the Ruto system has captured parliament so completely that the line between the majority and the minority has been erased.
That is why opposition legislators are now dewhipped for not supporting government, the most bizarre philosophy anywhere on earth.
In the case of these 'Sifuna allies", the problem seems more than just their legislative duties, but goes further to try and limit their freedom of association. Being seen with Sifuna has now become the sort of crime for which an entire regime and ruling coalition can draw up charges and dismiss elected leaders whose house leadership positions were acquired via their exemplary work in the last elections.
ODM is an already auctioned Mogotio goat, which makes it a very dangerous animal to this democracy. In the early life of this term, and under Raila, the party tried to have nine elected leaders who had gone to join Ruto relinguish their seats and run on the UDA ticket in by-elections. Then Raila died and the traders who took over the party left the opposition benches and started hunting down those who had rightfully remained on opposition benches to safeguard the interests of the voters.
Imagine that UDA dewhips leaders like @DrBKhalwale and Keroche for not sufficiently supporting government, then ODM dewhips opposition leaders for not sufficiently supporting government, in a parliamentary democracy where the two sides of the divide should remain distinct.
These bad manners are only enjoyable until a ruling side loses power and starts begging for mercy. Ask the Kanu of 2003. UDA and ODM can abuse democracy now, but will cry harder after August.

Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff’s campaign communications team was a well-oiled machine.
After tonight’s reelection win, Ossoff has shot up in the betting odds as the early favorite for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination.
In Kenya he would have been asked: “where is the gender balance..”😆😆

Hope is fueling, infectious, reviving, renewing and unbeatable. You cant buy or perform it. You can only be it vulnerabley
Its a discipline of unshakable belief in better and for better.
Only hope will win in a world of low trust democracies and leadersship.
Fight for HOPE
We have reached a stage in civilization where basic needs should no longer be controversial policy issues. Any nation governed by the rule of law that guarantees its citizens access to food, education, healthcare and decent shelter unlocks human potential, boosts productivity and ultimately drives its own meteoric rise to prosperity.

The most patriotic thing you can do is refuse to confuse your government with your country. You can love a country enough to demand that its government do better.

We already have one of the most progressive constitution in the world. It provides a clear framework for governance, economic management, development, devolution, accountability, and the rule of law. Our biggest challenge has never been the absence of laws ,it’s the lack of faithful implementation.
What Kenya needs is a leader who respects, defends, and faithfully implements the Constitution without selectively applying it. That’s why I believe Edwin Sifuna stands out. He has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of constitutionalism and the rule of law, making the Constitution the foundation of his leadership and decision-making.
Strong institutions, constitutional fidelity, and accountable leadership ,are what will move Kenya forward.
