My only elections advice South Africa is this - just turn up and vote! There’s no perfect party, councillor or mayoral candidate. Local election is the most important because you’re choosing the level and quality of basic service delivery you want right at your home and in your community. You only get one chance, one say, and you’ll have to live with the result for the next five years.
Time to make that mark count ✔️
And yes, it’s a Public Holiday today .
MZANSI, IT'S TIME! TODAY IS ELECTION DAY! 🗳️
Today, 4 November, South Africans across municipalities have the opportunity to participate in the 2026 LGE.
Voting stations open at 07:00-21:00. Voters who are already in the queue at 21:00 will be allowed to vote.
