I swore I wasn’t going to jump into Socialist Conference Discourse but people should actually watch this video in full. He is clearly saying that people who want to abolish the police (of which he is one!) need better answers to the immediate problems posed by no police, rather than theory and wishful thinking. You can disagree with him about the end goal but what he’s doing here is pushing for realism over pure ideology. We need more of this not less.
