Big move, bigger mission! The Artemis III Space Launch System core stage moved to the transfer aisle at NASA Kennedy. Next up – teams will lift and integrate the massive 212-foot-rocket with the solid rocket boosters as we prepare for the next giant leap in lunar exploration.

‘Taking Flight’ (nearly).  Our beautiful Artemis III Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage left the surface of the earth (briefly) today as it ‘flew over the hump’ via a giant crane in the Vehicle Assembly Building to be mated between our 2 already assembled Solid Rocket Boosters on the Mobile Launcher.  Spectacular job by our SLS, Exploration Ground Systems, and  @NASAKennedy team! Go @NASAArtemis III!

The team also made progress at LC-36B yesterday. Roughly 450 truckloads of concrete, lined up bumper-to-bumper and stretching nearly 3 miles up the coast, supported a 4,500-cubic-yard pour for the pile caps. Three more placements to go for a total of 15,000 cubic yards. This is the foundation for our New Glenn 9x4 pad.

Russian kale, dragoon lettuce, wasabi lettuce. The ground is running a similar crop to compare. Cosmonaut Anna Kikina joins us for a taste test!

Born 26 Oct 1904, aerospace pioneer Lee Atwood championed the SM-64 Navaho missile, tested at Cape Canaveral beginning in 1956. Though canceled in 1957, its technologies helped pave the way to space. Our museum preserves the world's only complete Navaho! @ccspacemuseum
