This is a county & state that insist on gold plating every project before they let the public near it. Much of the trail is done, save for some paint and it won't open for 6 months. If I have to see one more post about @PurpleLineMD art at stations when the line is a decade late.
I'd be a little less bitter about my MoCo taxes going up by $1k next year if @MCDOTNow wasn't so busy installing completely useless stop signs and over engineered traffic circles in my neighborhood while completely ignoring intersections mere blocks away that actually need them

Remarkable statistic:
Prior to Western Michigan, college football teams were 110,352 - 0 when leading after the end of regulation, dating back to 1869.

Gaithersburg or Frederick would be better than HEF but there's no way the locals in either spot would go for it.

The US Naval Academy. Great tailgating scene, have some crabs after the game, and the march on is one (or maybe two) of a kind.

Politico reports that GOP members of Congress can't find smart young conservatives to work for them.
Senior GOP congressional staffer:
“Everyone knows what the problem is: The organizations that bring young staffers to Washington, D.C. have spent the last decade prioritizing blind ideological loyalty instead of competence or intelligence. We have a generation of rabid, incompetent idiots.”
I've lived in the DC area and been a frequent metro rider back to when the Red Line ended at Van Ness. You are the best permanent GM that Metro has had in my lifetime. We are so grateful for you, and for how all of the Metro team members have shined in the last few years.
#hotcar 3189 (Red Line) - the paltry AC could not keep up with a crush loaded train (bc @Metrorailinfo is running trains every 8-10 mins at rush hr), and the ROC holding trains at each stop for a couple of minutes with the doors open.

My gf, who has not flown (I'm out of flying by a decade or so) read this and said "so it's like a truck stop for planes!"
My favs were Smoketown, PA, where you could hit farm stands in PA Dutch Country, and Wiscasset, ME, with a courtesy car w character to go get lobster rolls!

Going forward, we can't have Obama AND Mamdani giving speeches in the same week or we'll start to get spoiled by literacy.

Would love that!
1 - capital expansion
2 - development around stations
3 - best practices we could copy from other systems around the world
4 - your "vibe checks" of the feel of any given lines (bus or rail) or stops
5 - fun facts or trends that even engaged riders may not know

There was a C64 game called Great American Road Race where you did a spy hunter like race across the US, and I've never seen it again on an emulator, but it was a great game.
There goes the last reason I subscribed to WaPo...for 28 years on my own, plus 10 more reading it as a kid
Signs on the station boards saying the problem has been resolved yet taking 30 minutes to go two stations, fancy new MetroPulse App won't even load. It's like we're back to the bad old days of EREL here.

2 trains have gone out of service at Tacoma. What is wrong with you morons. Single tracking? 1 train has gone through in 40 minutes
That face that @BizNasty2point0 makes when he knows we're not going to OT this game.... @NHL_On_TNT
