Note that this review is very cautious in estimating the toxicant exposure reductions when switching from cigarettes to e-cigs. e.g. E-cigs emit no CO. Never smokers often have an exhaled CO=2ppm. Smokers often have a CO level of 16ppm. So a reduction to 2ppm should be 100%. But here it is estimated as only 87.5% reduction, not accounting for background/endogenous levels. Despite this cautious approach, the study demonstrates large reductions in a wide range of toxicants when switching from cigarettes to e-cigs.
A new systematic review and meta-analysis published in Archives of Toxicology, covering 60 studies, found substantial reductions in exposure to #harmful #chemicals among #smokers who switched completely to e-cigarettes.

The problem is Kassam spent the whole of Reform conference briefing journalists he was being lined up as Nigel Farage's chief of staff. He's recently spent a lot of time in Reform HQ. He constantly boasts about how close he is to Farage. So Farage can't "distance himself". He either cuts him loose. Or remains contaminated.

Almost everything Burnham says in this piece is a lie.
- We didn't get a "harder" Brexit than what was mentioned in the Referendum. We left with the most comprehensive trade agreement the EU has ever signed.
- The small boats crisis didn't emerge because of losing "returns agreements". While we were in the EU we were a net-, recipient of illegal immigrants from these agreements, the small boats crisis has emerged because of a global surge in illegal immigration and pull-factors like our human rights laws.
- Immigration within the EU was not "revolving door". It has been permanent, and significantly more than estimated at the time. Over 6 million people have come here on the EU Settlement scheme, double estimated.
The Prime Minister is dishonest and cynical, planning to hand border control to the EU, and likely pay them British taxpayers money while he's at it. – at Merton, London

Britain is holding talks with the EU about a potential return to free movement and other options for closer alignment
The Times has been told that the UK is discussing a series of options about the future relationship which are due to be unveiled within weeks
Andy Burnham plans to set out his vision for closer ties with the bloc, including the potential of rejoining the union, and have a “conversation with the British public about our long-term future”
The options that will be presented are being discussed with officials in Brussels to ensure both sides would ultimately be able to agree
One source said all such routes would be “discussed using diplomatic channels” before any “big bang” launch of the options on the table

*international fascist movement* 😂😂🤣🤣🤣😜
This is as barking as the people who go on about globalists and the WEF.
This is simply retail politics. Burnham dangles a nice juicy worm in front of Lib Dem oriented remainiacs, catches him some more voters to boost his poll numbers. But won't change anything because he's holding angry redwallers off with a chair.
NEW
There is some confusion over Andy Burnham's position on Brexit
Earlier this morning:
Reporter asks: "Will you allow the UK to join the EU freedom of movement without a referendum?"
Andy Burnham says: "No. And I wasn't saying that", adding that he would "never move ahead of the British public when it comes to Brexit".
11.30am Lobby briefing:
Number 10 will now not say whether the British public will get a referendum on rejoining EU freedom of movement.
A spokesman says: "The process will be set out in due course ... He wants to have an open debate about this.... there are no options on the table."
What do you think? More now on @GBNEWS.
This is repeated often and it is nonsense. Compared to Venezuela electing Chavez or communists taking power in Cuba, Brexit is a pinprick.
Even modest stupidities (the 1947 Town & Country Planning Act or the new poor law of the 1830s for example) did far more economic damage

I’m looking forward to Young Bob “debating” these lads about how they should remigrate themselves.
Seems to me that the failings of those 14 years from 2010-2024, at least in the minds of the public, boil down to:
Not controlling immigration/integration & asylum
Energy policy and Net Zero
Lack of economic growth
There are two other issues that were partly or wholly outside government control - Brexit and Covid.
There are other things that aren't unpopular but are a problem:
Pensions
Welfare payments
Defence spending
Domestic politics driving foreign policy
Planning and regulatory controls
Plus a general weariness with the pettiness and sleaziness of politics something people associate with the last Tory government.
