ENGAGEMENT WITH THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION: DEFENDING DEMOCRACY AND THE RIGHTS OF NIGERIANS Following my meeting with the British High Commissioner yesterday, 5th November 2026, I met with all Ambassadors of the European Union countries in Abuja on the same day. Our discussions centred on a number of issues, especially the cost of living and welfare of Nigerians, the state of governance in our country, and the forthcoming elections. I reiterated my appeal to the international community to support the democratic right of Nigerians to freely and fairly choose their leaders in a peaceful environment. The international community should stand with the Nigerian people in defending this fundamental right. The very essence of democracy is respect for the right of citizens to freely make their choices and determine who governs them. I thank the European Union Commission for the invitation and the opïportunity for this important engagement. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Peter Obi is always ahead. It seems he was aware that a day like this will come when fencists will use the Makinde gimmick to gaslight Obidients. Na once Obi rush, use him hand endorse Makinde and even campaigned for him. You can't get that man in a tight corner.

For those who have not gotten their PVC's, don't be deceived. It is all deliberate. Your PVC is cooling somewhere, waiting to be used by someone else to vote on your behalf. It will surprise you to know that there might be a duplicate of your polling unit in another local govt.

CROSS RIVER STATE: RESTORING TOURISM, REVIVING OUR PORTS AND LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE After my return from USA on Tuesday November 3rd evening, I held a meeting with Lagos State NDC candidates, and yesterday November 4th morning, I travelled to Calabar, Cross River State, in continuation of our series of town hall meetings and engagements across the country. In Calabar, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and I led our Cross River State NDC candidates, party members and other supporters on a courtesy visit to His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, the Obong of Calabar. At the palace of the respected traditional ruler, we informed him of our visit and the town hall meeting. He generously shared his words of wisdom with us and offered prayers and blessings. At the town hall meeting, we had our usual interactive session, where participants expressed their concerns and asked questions about our plans for the Calabar Port, the restoration of Cross River State to its former status as a leading tourism destination, security, the economy and the general welfare of Nigerians when we are elected. In my remarks, I assured them of the commitment of Senator Kwankwaso and me to uniting and securing the country and immediately embarking on aggressive investments in critical areas of development, particularly education and healthcare, while pulling our people out of poverty. I also assured the teeming crowd of participants and supporters that, under our stewardship, the Calabar Port would become fully operational, alongside other ports across the Niger Delta. On tourism, I recalled with nostalgia how Calabar, Obudu and other destinations in Cross River State used to be preferred tourism destinations for Nigerians and even foreigners. Today, due to poor governance and inadequate attention, the state has lost much of its tourism value. I committed to restoring Cross River State to its pride of place, starting with my personal commitment, when elected President, to spending my holidays at its tourism destinations. I encouraged our members and supporters to be prepared to defend their votes on Election Day, especially in the face of continued hostility from the government. My sincere gratitude goes to our teeming supporters, party members, candidates and well-wishers who attended the town hall meeting. I thank the organisers and the good people of Cross River State for the successful programme and their warm hospitality. A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO

I've said this many times, if Peter Obi had any skeletons in his cupboard or was corrupt like many other politicians, this APC-led administration would have seized the opportunity to arrest him, lock him up and keep him behind bars until after the election, especially as an opposition figure. This is precisely why the corrupt political elites are so disturbed by him. They know that, no matter how hard they try, there is no credible wrongdoing they can pin on him. They cannot find the kind of dirt they are accustomed to using against politicians, and that is what makes him a major threat to their corrupt establishment.

They all positioned themselves for contracts & juicy positions in Mr. Peter Gregory Obi’s presidency. People without a steady income were disappointed when he refused to play ball. It’s a blessing in disguise that INEC rigged him out. Those criminals would have sabotaged & messed up his presidency before doing serious jail time. You don’t mess with a man like that! You never paid attention to “we no dey give shishi” mantra? You thought that was fictional, a type of Nollywood flick? The joke is on you! Nigeria offers no incentives for honest work. Many will have to be encouraged to stay honest. There’ll be no blank checks or open season for looting. Nigerians are not good people. Denying you visas is the right to do.

Yes. The Igbos do not have any soup. They don't have any food. They eat stone. All the soups and foods belong to the Yorubas. Please take all the food and vote for Peter Obi. Nigeria is sinking and only Peter Obi can help redeem us. Take all the food and vote for NDC and Obi.

President Peter Obi has just sold the Presidential Yatch and the presidential jet acquired by former president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Channels TV reported that Peter Obi rehabilitated over 200 secondary schools and gave each an initial grant of N10 million. That was the first step to what later translated to Anambra becoming number one in education in the whole of Nigeria during Peter Obi's time in office. When APC says that he didn't build any school, show them this. Vote this man. The evidence that he is a good man is everywhere.

“Under my leadership, anybody who kidnaps our children and goes into the forest, we will go in there with them. Go and ask what happened in Akpaka Forest when I was Governor of Anambra State, when it was being used to keep kidnap victims. I went to meet President Yar’Adua and said, ‘Mr President, there is a forest in my place. I want to demolish that forest, and I’m going to use air and land to make sure no animal comes out of that forest.’ Go to Onitsha today; the best estate we have in Onitsha is Akpaka Forest. No forest in Imo will anybody use for kidnapping again. We will be very decisive. Under Kwankwaso and me, we will declare an emergency on corruption. The greatest problem of this country is people stealing public money. It cannot continue. Public money must be used for public good. If you want to be a businessman, go and make money outside government, not in government. People will say corruption will fight back. Give us the opportunity; we will bury corruption. It will not be allowed to fight back. We must end corruption because that is what is destroying Nigeria.” — Mr Peter Obi, CON (In Owerri, Imo State)

A few months ago, my grammar was not particularly great, especially here on X. Then, one beautiful morning, I received a call from Dr. Oby Ezekwesili ( @obyezeks ) that changed that aspect of my life forever. She advised me to go back to Primary 3 and rebuild my foundation in English. She said something profound: Once you fix the foundation, everything else begins to fall into place. I took her advice wholeheartedly. I went back to study Primary 3 Grammar and Comprehension, and that simple decision transformed my command of English. I remain deeply grateful to @obyezeks for that invaluable piece of advice. Its impact on my life has been remarkable. But this experience taught me something much bigger about education. Many of us are struggling today, not because we lack intelligence, but because we are building on weak educational foundations. We keep trying to fix problems at the top when the real problems are at the bottom. Sometimes, the greatest form of progress is having the humility to go back to the basics and rebuild properly. You cannot build excellence on a foundation you have refused to repair.

In Nigeria, speaking the truth is treated as disrespect. Asking for accountability is called rudeness. Demanding facts is labelled unprofessional. Meanwhile, those who loot public wealth, destroy livelihoods, and fail the people are celebrated as “strong leaders.” Rufai Oseni is simply describing the reality millions of Nigerians already live with. When journalists, citizens, or activists confront power with evidence, the response is rarely answers it is personal attacks, deflection, and the demand to “show respect.” Respect is not silence. Respect is not flattery. Respect is not shielding those who have ruined lives from scrutiny. The real disrespect is watching the country decay while punishing anyone who points it out. Keep speaking. The truth does not need permission.
