I've been playing video games since the 80s, and I've got absolutely no intention of growing out of it! 🎮
I'm Simon. Capcom addict, JRPG lover and owner of a backlog I'll probably never finish.
Expect honest opinions, nostalgia, gameplay and plenty of laughs along the way!

GTA 6 is an 18-rated game aimed at a mature audience.
Fortnite and Roblox cater to a much broader age range, including children.
Sure, there's some overlap, but I don't think they're competing for quite the same audience.
The world is ending. The final boss is waiting...
But Mrs Miggins has lost her handbag, so saving the universe can wait! 😂
I'm terrible for this. The Witcher 3, GTA, Forza... I'll do EVERYTHING else before advancing the main story.
Anyone else play like this?
What's worse in horror games?
Something jumping out at you, or spending 20 minutes convinced something WILL?
Give me psychological horror any day. The tension gets under my skin!
Besides, I'm getting too old for all these jump scares! 😂

Remember getting stuck in a game before the internet?
I remember a magazine publishing a 3-part guide to Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES.
Each month I'd have to wait for the next instalment!
Imagine telling someone today they had to wait for a walkthrough. 😂
The Binding of Isaac has set the bar TOO high for roguelikes.
I've enjoyed Enter the Gungeon, 30XX and others, but I started recognising the same rooms and situations across runs.
Isaac keeps me guessing. That's what I LOVE about it!
What roguelike comes close?
Character creators are getting ridiculous these days!
With all those sliders and options, I usually just end up recreating myself or my girlfriend as accurately as possible.

First and foremost, if you are into playing games, then it doesn't matter what platform you choose to play on.
Consoles ARE more accessible then gaming PC's. You can go into a high street store and ... (🪡)
I'm a technical guy either. Other posts I've seen about fiddling with RAM settings is misinformation, I've never had to do this whatsoever. And graphics settings are just in game options. It's as easy as changing the difficulty on a game!
