Lana Nusseibeh lobbied EU lawmakers against naming the UAE’s support for the RSF in a resolution on Sudan & the final text ultimately omitted the UAE. Her bid to lead the UN is another attempt by the UAE to whitewash its crimes in the genocide of Sudanese civilians.

Please note that the Financial Times has had a very friendly and pro-UAE line for a very long time with the Financial Times even running many PR-like promotional pieces for the UAE dressed up as objective and neutral journalism. If the UAE is funding the FT (likely) then the FT will be compelled to run a very favourable piece for their UN SecGen campaign.

This is so common, when the RSF robbed my home they left only books scattered all over the floor, seemingly everyone in Khartoum and other areas the RSF invaded have the same experience of returning home to find only books, can't tell me books aren't valuable

I’m so sorry to share such heartbreaking news, but a Palestinian sister in Cairo has lost her mother to cancer today💔
The hospital is now demanding 12k EGP ~$220 before releasing her mother’s body.
She is already grieving an unimaginable loss and should not have to face this burden alone @mal_ok1
