🙏Grateful to God, Dadaji, Family, and Friends 🙏 🙏Happy Diwali everyone 🙏 A Seven-Year Journey, a Late-Night Promise, and the True Value of Friendship @BorisKreiman Sold & Completed Resu.com for $99999 lease to own through @GoDaddy / @afternic . Some investments reward us financially. Others remind us how fortunate we are to have wonderful people in our lives. Occasionally, one investment does both. However, today I don't want to focus primarily on the sale price, the investment return, or the negotiations. I want to share a story about something far more valuable than the domain itself: genuine friendship, kindness, and people who go out of their way to help others without expecting anything in return. And for that, we need to travel back to 2019. It All Started With Four Letters Those who have known me over the years are probably familiar with my love for four-letter .com domains. I have been gradually building and refining our portfolio, constantly learning, improving our selection criteria, and becoming more disciplined about the quality of assets we acquire. Back in 2019, I was spending considerable time on NamePros.com, connecting with fellow investors, studying opportunities, and negotiating acquisitions. There were many wonderful opportunities available in those days. Of course, looking at today's market, some historical acquisition prices may appear inexpensive. But back then, those were fair market prices, and sometimes I was willing to pay even more than what others considered fair when I strongly believed in a particular asset. Resu.com was one such opportunity. I had been negotiating with a fellow domain investor and friend from China. His initial asking price was significantly higher than what I was comfortable paying. After considerable discussions, we eventually reached an agreement. I prefer to keep the acquisition price private, but what happened next is something I have wanted to share for years. An Unexpected Condition The seller wanted payment in Ethereum (ETH). That may not sound particularly unusual today, but remember, this was 2019. Although I had already started gradually accumulating cryptocurrencies around 2017–2018, I did not have enough Ethereum readily available to complete this particular transaction. If my memory serves me correctly, Ethereum was trading somewhere around $150 at the time, although I don't recall the exact price. Buying additional ETH was not necessarily the problem. Getting it transferred immediately was the challenge. Back then, purchasing cryptocurrency through exchanges such as Coinbase could involve withdrawal restrictions or settlement delays. Our seller wanted to close quickly, and the agreed price depended on completing the transaction without unnecessary delays. There was one comforting factor: we had established mutual trust. My friend in China was even willing to transfer the domain before receiving the payment. That kind of trust is something I have always valued in business relationships. Still, I needed to find a way to arrange the Ethereum. And this is where the real story begins. Enter My Friend Boris @BorisKreiman I reached out to my dear friend Boris and explained the situation. I asked whether he happened to have enough Ethereum available and offered to reimburse him immediately through Zelle, PayPal, or whichever payment method was most convenient. Unfortunately, Boris didn't have the required quantity readily available either. At that point, he could easily have said, "Sorry, my friend, I wish I could help." And that would have been perfectly understandable. After all, this wasn't his acquisition. He wasn't the buyer or the seller. There was no financial benefit waiting for him. But instead of walking away from the situation, Boris started looking for another solution. He knew Rob Monster @robmonster , who was associated with Epik.com, and had positive experiences dealing with him in the past. Boris suggested reaching out to Rob, thinking he might have access to Ethereum and be willing to help us arrange the exchange. He contacted Rob, explained our situation, and asked whether he could provide the necessary ETH in exchange for payment through a conventional method. Fortunately, Rob was willing to help! There was just one small complication. Rob was attending a family function and wouldn't be available for another couple of hours. By this time, it was already getting quite late in the United States. For our friend in China, the day was moving along. For us in the Eastern time zone, we were heading toward the middle of the night. The Night I Will Always Remember What happened next is what makes this particular acquisition so special to me. Boris decided to stay awake. Not because he had to. Not because he was getting anything out of the transaction. And certainly not because I expected him to. He simply wanted to make sure his friend could complete the acquisition successfully. As best as I can remember, it was somewhere around 1 or 2 in the morning when Rob became available after his family function. Rob kindly helped arrange the Ethereum. We completed the necessary payment to Rob, received the ETH, and forwarded it to our friend in China. The domain transfer and payment were successfully completed. Resu.com had finally become part of our portfolio. But when I look back at that night, what I remember most vividly isn't the domain arriving in my account. It is the thought of Boris still being awake, helping coordinate everything, making sure the money moved correctly, and staying involved until the transaction was successfully completed. He treated my problem as though it were his own. That gesture genuinely touched my heart. We Have Never Met in Person Here is something that makes this friendship even more remarkable. Boris and I have never met face-to-face. Not even once. Our friendship developed through the domain investment community. Over the years, we have shared conversations, ideas, experiences, opportunities, and helped each other in different ways. And seven years later, that friendship continues. Sometimes people assume genuine relationships require years of meeting in person, sharing meals, or spending time together physically. Those things are certainly wonderful. But I have learned that meaningful friendships can also develop across countries, time zones, and computer screens. Friendship is not measured by how often two people meet. It is reflected in how genuinely they care about each other's well-being. That night, Boris demonstrated something that I believe defines true friendship. A real friend doesn't necessarily have the solution to your problem, but sometimes they care enough to stay beside you until you find one. And that is exactly what Boris did. Seven Years Later, the Story Comes Full Circle Fast-forward to January 29, 2025. We received confirmation from Afternic that Resu.com had sold for $99,999 through a 22-month lease-to-own agreement. The buyer made the initial payment, and the transaction began its journey toward completion. Month after month, the installments continued. Finally, on November 7, 2026, Afternic confirmed that the 22nd and final installment had been processed. From that late-night acquisition in 2019 to the completion of the sale in 2026, Resu.com had been part of our investment journey for approximately seven years. As investors, we naturally appreciate the financial rewards that come from patience, discipline, thoughtful acquisitions, and successful exits. But this particular closing brought back a completely different set of memories. The memory of a friend who refused to go to sleep until everything was settled. The memory of another gentleman who took time out of his evening to help someone he didn't need to help. And the memory of a fellow investor in China who trusted me enough to move forward with the transaction. In hindsight, all three played meaningful roles in making this acquisition possible. A Special Thank You to Boris and Rob Dear Boris @BorisKreiman , I don't know whether you even remember that particular night as clearly as I do. But I certainly do. You had absolutely no obligation to stay awake, make phone calls, coordinate with another person, or help me arrange a payment for an investment that wasn't yours. Yet you did all of that with genuine care. What touched me most wasn't simply that you helped complete the transaction. It was that you cared enough to make sure everything worked out for your friend. There was nothing for you to gain financially. Your only motivation was helping someone you considered a friend. And that, to me, is priceless. Thank you, Boris, for your kindness, your time, your generosity, and, most importantly, your genuine friendship. I remain deeply grateful. A special thank you to Rob Monster @robmonster as well. Rob, you were attending a family function that evening, yet you still made yourself available later to help arrange the Ethereum and complete the transaction. I genuinely appreciate your willingness to help and the time you took to make it happen. And thank you to my friend in China for the trust, patience, and cooperation throughout the acquisition process. The domain eventually sold for $99,999, but the kindness shown that night is something I will value regardless of any financial outcome. A Diwali Reflection: The Light We Bring Into Each Other's Lives Today, as we celebrate Diwali, this story feels especially meaningful. Diwali reminds us of the triumph of light over darkness, goodness over negativity, and gratitude over entitlement. We light diyas to brighten our homes. But I believe there is another kind of light that is equally beautiful. The light we bring into someone else's life through our kindness, selflessness, compassion, and genuine care. Sometimes that light comes from a family member. Sometimes from someone we have known for decades. And sometimes from a friend thousands of miles away whom we have never even met in person. That night in 2019, God sent couple angle Boris @BorisKreiman and Rob @robmonster brought a little light into my life through a simple act of kindness. Seven years later, I still remember it. To me, that is a beautiful reminder that while business transactions eventually close, the impact of genuine kindness can remain with us for a lifetime. As investors, we often calculate returns in percentages, multiples, and dollars. But some of life's greatest returns cannot be calculated on a spreadsheet. The trust we earn, the relationships we build, the kindness we share, and the friendships we preserve are among our most valuable assets. Resu.com was an investment. The friendship behind it was the real treasure. On this auspicious occasion of Diwali, I pray to Bhagwan for happiness, good health, peace, prosperity, wisdom, and continued togetherness for all of us. May we all be blessed not only with financial prosperity, but also with the opportunity to be a source of light in someone else's life. Thank you, God, Dadaji, family, friends, Boris, Rob, and everyone who has been part of this wonderful journey. Happy Diwali and Shubh Diwali to everyone! 🪔🙏 With gratitude, Hiren M. Patel Thank you God, family, & friends.

Anna.ai recently sold for $350K. We rarely post our sales here, but wanted to share this one.
Replying to @steitieh @afternic
Sorry I missed your comment. It wasn't in my X notifications. We hold 600+ .ai and sell about $1M worth of domains a year, so renewals are covered. We report most sales to NameBio and post only a small fraction here. A six-figure .ai sale will be reported soon.

Hard to believe it’s been a year already. Last November, I sold LinkLand․com for $80,000 through Afternic’s Lease-to-Own, and today GoDaddy sent the final payment. I’ll miss you, LinkLand․com. And those monthly payments. 🥲 @afternic @NameBio
