Vivid memories of this game. 9 years old. One of my first visits to the old National Stadium. Pretty sure Gareth Davies hit the post multiple times. What a player Paul Turner was. A tremendous kicker, an inventive passer, brave, stubborn, mullet and moustache. Brilliant.

Viv Jones was fifteen when 144 people were killed in the Aberfan disaster, including his nine-year-old brother Paul
It's taken him 60 years to share publicly what happened to them both on that catastrophic morning of October 21st, 1966

The weekly throwing together of fans on Twitter is always a treat. This time it is the entitled morons of Chelsea. Bloody hell - clueless bellends. God speed Wednesday when the algorithm will allow us to go our separate ways.
There are none so blind as those who will not see.
Another terrible night for @ManCity and everyone who loves the club.
But this is not over. The panel is not the end.
I do not see the people I know, the club I love, in this judgement.
See you at Anfield. 🩵
Twitter gives you a few days around each game where you are thrown together with the fans of the team you are playing. Please can Man Utd hurry up and play again so their cryarsing wanker fan base can fuck off and moan about how they have been hard done by somewhere else.
Jesus Christ Man Utd fans are the biggest bunch of cryarses in football. Decisions went both ways. You weren't cheated. A draw was a fair result. Shut the fuck up.

Henry, you have this uncanny knack of hitting the bulls eye with every club.
It is incredible that, after all the optimism of their first 15 months in charge, our American owners have squandered an almighty dividend:
1. Giant club starved of success
2. Incredible, revenue generating new stadium
3. Squad with very good players
4. Loyal fans who would have backed them to the hilt had they done the right thing.
Instead, they couldn't help themselves. Seduced by inflated transfer fees, tbey have stripped the club of some of the quality they inherited.
Their investment of £500m is already in the money. With Everton on track to make £300m of revenue, a 4x EV/sales ratio values the club at £1.2bn.
Debts total £550m, so equity valuing to the owners is around £650m.
Compare that to £500m invested. A 25% capital gain in 20 months.
This is truly astonishing. Levels of incompetence that even outstrip the previous disfunction when Moshiri suddenly had lost access to his money. All good will from the fan base utterly destroyed in a week. Rather than strengthen, @friedkingroup have asset stripped us.
Even by Everton standards, and there is some stiff competition, this is unimaginably negligent. Every single member of that fucking recruitment committee should lose their jobs. #Everton
Never underestimate the power of the fool chain. Better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.
Please don’t ever underestimate the power of the food chain. Villa, Newcastle, Everton they’ll never be us. xitter.gq/burneraccnsg3/status/2…
Why did we let "NIMBY" become a pejorative in the way it has? It's their back yard. They were there before you and your proposed changes? They can feel however they feel. People shouldn't be criticised for fighting their corner. Fuck you.
