The biggest civil rights failure of our generation.

Follow the money trail MoCo! 💰 💰 💰
$115k goes from Will Jawando’s senate committee to the Working Families Party (WFP) PAC, and nearly $88k comes back to support his County Executive run. The State cleared it legally, but the optics remain. MoCo is too critical to be steered by a DSA-aligned agenda! 🚫 Vote accordingly!

Good for Gottheimer.
BREAKING 🚨: CNN’s Dana Bash: “You’re a lifelong Democrat. If you were a Michigan voter, how would you vote in the Senate race?”
Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ): *Laughs* “There’s no way I’m ever coming out for El-Sayed, right now… This is a guy who has made it VERY CLEAR his views towards… Jewish Americans.”
Crazy how bad leadership is hurting what used to be a great state.

Many nonprofits are money laundering machines. They never solve the problem for which they were created. There’s no incentive to do so.

NYC: 8.6 million people. $125.8 billion budget.
Florida: 23.5 million people. $117.6 billion state budget.
Nearly three times the population, a smaller state budget, and Zohran still thinks New Yorkers aren’t taxed enough.

Actually, if you cut an ad saying Americans are having a tough time buying bananas because we spend 1/10 of 1% of the budget on Israel -- with most of that being funneled back to U.S. defense contractors -- and not a really big storm in the Pacific, you do, in fact, hate Jews.

This is that macho anti-consent politics Y’all flex on and it’s just the worst. It’s like the text messages you send to people that didn’t opt in. It’s this type of thing that makes people not trust either party and dislike all levels of government.
…the dem table at potomac community center is handing out the apple ballot. Jufj is sitting at the dem table at Wheaton as if they’re one & the same. They’re not. The dem table is making endorsements for the nonpartisan boe positions. Tell me more about kings. @mcdcc
I get the tomato basil pasta. There’s nothing wrong with Cheesecake Factory.
🚨Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on President Obama mocking the Cheesecake Factory:
“This is the man who built the museum and it looks like Darth Vader’s tomb.”
Bessent also told @FoxBusiness' @FBNNicoleMac he frequents the Cheesecake Factory and always orders the French dip cheeseburger — and suggested the “Martha’s Vineyard set” should “give it a try.”

It’s a real shame we didn’t make this man president and give him both houses of Congress so he could fix healthcare…

Eggs are like $2.27. Bananas about $0.41 per pound. But Democrats never let the facts get in the way of a chance to blame those dirty Jews. Fitting that this is how el Sayed closes: lying in service of anti-Semitism.
When you pick the groceries, cook the meal, plate the food and then complain to management that it tasted bad.

It’s a Ponzi scheme.
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME LIKE I'M FIVE YEARS OLD.
If Social Security's trust fund runs dry by 2032, which is now the official projection in this year's Trustees Report, what the actual hell happens to every dollar that's been pulled out of my paycheck for the last 10+ years??
Because here's what nobody explains clearly: Social Security isn't a savings account with your name on it. There's no personal vault sitting somewhere with "your" contributions in it. Every dollar taken out of your check right now is being paid out immediately to current retirees. It's a pass-through system, not a piggy bank.
So when they say the trust fund "runs out," they don't mean all the money vanishes and checks stop entirely. They mean the surplus reserve that's been topping off the gap disappears, and the program drops to paying out only what it's currently collecting in payroll taxes that year. Based on current projections, that means an automatic cut of somewhere around 20-22% to everyone's benefit, with zero congressional action required to trigger it. It just happens by default under current law.
So I've been paying into this system for over a decade, and the "promise" I'm working with is: maybe I get roughly 78 cents on every dollar I was supposed to receive, starting the exact year it's projected to hit, unless Congress does something before then, which it has had decades to do and hasn't.
Genuinely, where did the rest of it go. And why is "trust us, we'll probably fix it eventually" the actual retirement plan being sold to an entire generation.
Yep that’s me. I’m not a piggy bank for politicians who spend recklessly.
Everyone's chanting "tax the rich" without actually looking at the numbers.
Someone earning $200k pays roughly $42,000 in federal income tax.
Someone earning $30k pays around $1,800.
That means it takes about 23 people earning $30k to match what one person earning $200k contributes.
So why is the policy conversation constantly aimed at pushing high earners out, when they're already carrying the overwhelming majority of the load?
The issue was never how much revenue comes in.
The issue is how much gets wasted once it's collected.
Stop aiming at the earners.
Start aiming at the spending.
