After the party ended, everyone slowly returned to their hostels. Later that night, my roommate suddenly asked if I had seen his phone. I told him no, so we started searching around the room. Then I remembered that I had also used my phone earlier that evening to call someone about something I needed. I checked everywhere but couldn’t find mine either. 😳
We searched under the beds, inside our bags, around the kitchen and even outside the room. Nothing. So we borrowed another phone and called both numbers, hoping we would hear them ringing somewhere. But both phones were switched off. That was when things started feeling strange. My roommate looked at me and asked, “Do you remember the last person that came into this room?” 😰
While we were in the kitchen, she suddenly brought up the issue of the missing money. She told me my roommate had explained everything to her and started advising me about taking things that didn’t belong to me. I was already tired and irritated, so I told her that the matter was between me and my roommate. I also told her that she wasn’t part of the issue and should respect our boundaries.
Unfortunately, my roommate walked into the kitchen at that exact moment. 😭 He didn’t even ask what had happened before getting angry with me for disrespecting his girlfriend. He defended her immediately and told me I should apologise. I refused because I felt she had no business discussing our private issue with me. The two of them eventually left the kitchen together, and I just continued what I was doing.

Back in school, my roommate brought a very beautiful girl to our hostel and introduced her as the woman he wanted to marry after graduation. Honestly, this girl was beautiful, calm and very friendly. Everyone liked her almost immediately because she knew how to make people feel comfortable around her. One afternoon, she came to our room and met me with my little baby. She smiled and asked if she could carry the baby for a while. I didn’t see anything wrong with it, so I handed my baby over to her.
