Did you know that Caravaggio painted 2 versions of #Medusa on wooden shields? One is in the Uffizi, while the other "Medusa Murtola" is in the hands of a private collector. Apparently, Murtola was the 1st to be painted in 1596. I'm seriously possessed with all things Medusa!
