This right here. Watch the chess player make his moves now.
Congress spent the last two years accomplishing a whole lot of nothing. Looks like the next two will be more of the same, just with different excuses. If we worked like Congress, weโ€™d have been fired years ago.

TABOR Committee Voterโ€™s Guide for 2026 Do politicians want more of your money? [O1.1]The answer is obvious, of course they want more of your money. This yearโ€™s ballot includes a number of attempts to get it. The TABOR Committee encourages you to vote โ€œNOโ€ on โ€ข Amendment 87: The tax scheme that would strip a protection out of the Taxpayerโ€™s Bill of Rights and institute a HUGE tax increase. It would return the state to the failed graduated income tax idea from 40 years ago, cost the average taxpayer $4,000 over the next four years, and damage the stateโ€™s economy โ€ข Proposition NN: The measure would effectively eliminate any spending limitation on state government and end your TABOR refunds forever. It would raise as much as $1 Billion in new taxes in the first full year. โ€ข Proposition 137: It would lower your TABOR refunds by $175 million a year to pay for environmental issues. The legislature already can appropriate funds for these uses. โ€ข Ballot Issue 7A: The Colorado Connect (CoCo) rail system would increase sales taxes even more. RTD is operating in the red. A similar plan in California is currently in dire financial and operational straits. CoCo is cuckoo. We encourage you to vote โ€œyesโ€ on Proposition 136, the simple directive to place a cap on income tax rates. Amendment 87 A recent Cato Institute study shows that a graduated income tax scheme is way out of step with the direction that other US states and even foreign countries are moving. It has no provision to adjust income brackets for inflation. What might seem like tax relief now, would become increasingly burdensome on Colorado taxpayers year after year. For more information go to Your Familyโ€™s Future Alliance (yourfamilysfuture.org/). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Proposition NN Hereโ€™s yet another one supposedly for the children and their teachers. Remember how Amendment 23 and, later, legalizing recreational marijuana were going to add enough to fund schools? Notice that we still need this provision โ€œfor the children.โ€ This time, do you really think that they really mean it? NN? NO NO! For more information go to Your Familyโ€™s Future Alliance (yourfamilysfuture.org/). Proposition 137 Like so many of the attacks on the Taxpayerโ€™s Bill of Rights, this initiative as described in the ballot language begins with the claim that it will not raise taxes. That claim comes just before the proposal to โ€œto keep and spend a portion of revenue from the state sales tax on sporting goods and equipment.โ€ Too clever by half. One side of the mouth says we wonโ€™t raise taxes while the other side proposes to keep and spend revenue from the sales of sporting goods and equipmentโ€”money that would otherwise go into the general fund from which TABOR refunds are calculated. A more candid way of saying that would be to say that weโ€™re not going to raise your taxes, but we are going to keep money that would otherwise be refunded to you. The distinction is either intended to be too subtle for people to discern, or itโ€™s a twisting of language into a simple lie. Ballot Issue 7A The ballot language asks if passenger rail district taxes may be raised by $295 million annually โ€œand by whatever amounts are raised annually thereafter.โ€ Are they really asking us to sign a blank check? Itโ€™s unfortunate for supporters that this proposed train system for the front range called Colorado Connect, CoCo (for short and for cute), so nearly resembles coo-coo. Ridership for the current RTD rail system is estimated at maybe 16% to 17[O2.1]%. Now weโ€™re being asked to spend nearly $1 billion on another rail system in the interest of reducing front range motor vehicle traffic. Just imagine the rewards we could realize if we attained 17% usage of a billion-dollar expenditure. While youโ€™re stuck in I-25 traffic, you could be watching a near-empty train blowing by. Proposition 136 This entire ballot question is expressed in one sentence. This measure is expressed simply because it is simple. Cap our income tax rate at its current 4.4%. That means $4.40 out of every $100 of net income. This is where we get to affirm our opposition to higher income taxes. Make that affirmative statement by voting โ€œYES.โ€ thetaborfoundation.org/taborโ€ฆ

We ask that all firearm owners put this on their wall. The Supreme Court of the United States has affirmed that the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right of the individual . If you believe in the 2nd Amendment, and you are not afraid to show it, re-post this!!! I hope to see this re-posted by a lot of my friends. Remember, if we outlaw guns, then only outlaws will have guns!!!

What an interesting read........... On Jeopardy the other night, the final question asked: โ€œHow many steps does the guard take during his walk across the Tomb of the Unknown?โ€ All three contestants missed it. Tomb of the Unknown Soldier 1. How many steps does the guard take during his walk across the Tomb and why? He takes 21 steps โ€” symbolizing the 21-gun salute, the highest military and foreign tribute. 2. How long does he pause before turning to walk back and why? He waits 21 seconds, again in honor of the same tradition. 3. Why are his gloves damp? They are lightly moistened to ensure he never loses his grip on his rifle. 4. Does he keep his rifle on the same shoulder, and if not, why? He always carries it on the shoulder farthest from the Tomb. After each crossing, he performs an about-face and moves it to the outside shoulder. 5. How often are the guards changed? Every 30 minutes, 24/7, 365 days a year. 6. What are the physical requirements for a Tomb Guard? Applicants must be between 5'10" and 6'2" and have a waist no larger than 30". Other expectations of the Guard: They devote two years to the Tomb, live in the barracks beneath it, and must refrain from drinking alcohol on or off duty for the rest of their lives. They can never swear in public or dishonor the uniform or the Tomb. After two years, they earn a wreath pin signifying their service โ€” fewer than 400 are currently worn. If they violate the code, they must relinquish the pin. Their shoes have thick soles to protect against extreme temperatures and metal heel plates that create the crisp click when they halt. Uniforms must have zero wrinkles or lint and are inspected in a full-length mirror. For the first six months, guards do not speak to anyone and do not watch television. Their off-duty time is spent studying the 175 notable individuals buried at Arlington National Cemetery, memorizing who they are and where they rest. Among them: President Taft, Joe E. Lewis, and Audie Murphy, the most decorated WWII soldier. Every guard spends five hours daily preparing their uniform. ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM, O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM. When Hurricane Isabel approached Washington, D.C. in 2003, Congress shut down for two days. The guards were offered permission to suspend duty due to danger. They replied: โ€œNo way, Sir!โ€ Drenched and marching through the storm, they insisted that guarding the Tomb is the highest honor, not just a task. The Tomb has been continuously guarded โ€” day and night โ€” since 1930. God Bless and Keep Them I donโ€™t often encourage sharing posts, but I would be honored if this one reached as many people as possible. We should always feel proud of the men and women who serve, wherever they are stationed. Duty โ€“ Honor โ€“ Country IN GOD WE TRUST โ€” with Herbert F Wieland.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Some claims in this post are inaccurate. The Society of the Honor Guard says the Tomb has been guarded since 1937, the guard changes hourly in winter, sentinels can drink off duty, and there is no lifetime ban on alcohol or swearing. tombguard.org/society/faq leadstories.com/hoax-alert/202โ€ฆ
