It’s a tough life being a single owlet…. No one to interact with other than flies!!! Noctis has been active in the box today, attempting to clamber about and look out of the entrance. After all that excursion, it was time for naps, sleeping flat out on the base of the box.

The best way to make sure wild #hedgehogs are well fed is to create wild edges, log piles & leafy corners where they can forage for insects & grubs🪲🪱🐜 But, you can also offer supplementary dishes of meaty pet food, or kitten biscuits, & clean water. #HedgehogWeek

Bore da Telyn’s nevi (eye freckles) update 2025! They become more pronounced yearly from sun exposure. Harmless, but unique ID for unringed ospreys—like a fingerprint. The 8-2 o’clock part of the iris clear, as it is often shaded by supraorbital eye ridge.

Amazing animals, Red Squirrels have been around since the end of the last ice age, they can be left- or right-handed, having an exceptional sense of smell they can tell if a nut is rotten without having to open it.
