This year, we're celebrating 5 years of Snowline Gold! Five years ago, Snowline was founded on bold geological ideas put forward by the Berdahl family and a belief in the untapped gold potential of the Yukon’s geologically-rich Selwyn Basin. Since then, our team has rapidly advanced the Valley gold deposit from a handful of impressive drill holes into a globally significant gold deposit, while building a company grounded in the highest standards of technical excellence and responsible exploration. We are proud of the company we’ve built, the meaningful value we’ve created for shareholders and partners, and the path ahead. Please enjoy a short message from our CEO, Scott Berdahl.

Supporting local starts with the people and businesses behind the products we use. We’re proud to work with Kágáni, our camp catering team led by founder Jenna Mills from the Kluane First Nation, who makes it a priority to source local Yukon products. Keeping business in the Yukon and our local communities. From Bean North in Whitehorse and That Saucy Lady, owned by a member of the Ta'an Kwach'an and Na-Cho Nyäk Dun First Nation and to products from Northern Blue Bird Farm in Mayo, Jenna brings together products from producers across the Yukon. We’re proud to support local businesses and celebrate the people who contribute to the communities where we live and work. Thanks to Jenna and the Kágáni team for bringing a taste of the Yukon to our camps!

Last week, we held our second FNNND/Snowline Youth Program in collaboration with the Education Department of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun (FNNND). The program offers local youth participants the opportunity to experience the various aspects of a mineral exploration project in a remote camp environment. The interest, enthusiasm and energy these young participants brought to the project provided a boost to the entire field team. Special thanks to our Mentorship and Training Coordinator, Kimberly Azak and the site team who led the planning and delivery of the program for Snowline! 🦺⛏️ We are extremely grateful to FNNND and the Mayo community for their work in making our annual youth program a success again this summer. We’re excited to build on this year’s success with the 2027 program!

Today, we mark the 130th anniversary of Discovery Day and the discovery at Bonanza Creek that sparked the Klondike Gold Rush in 1896. ⛏️ Shaaw Tláa (Kate Carmack), Keish (Skookum Jim Mason) and Káa Goox (Dawson Charlie) made a discovery that shaped the Yukon and whose impact continues to be felt across the territory today. We recognize their contributions and the deep, enduring connection Indigenous Peoples have to this land. At Snowline, we’re honoured to explore responsibly in the Yukon and contribute to a new chapter in the territory’s rich mining history. #DiscoveryDay

This month, Snowline had the privilege of welcoming seven students from Yukon University's Environmental Monitoring Certification Program to our Rogue Project for a hands-on Ecological Land Classification (ELC) field course.🌿 ELC is the framework used across the Yukon to identify and describe ecosystems based on climate, landforms, soils and vegetation. It provides a shared language for understanding the landscape and plays an important role in environmental monitoring, assessment, reclamation and land-use planning. Working alongside our environmental team, students put classroom learning into practice by describing ecosystems, characterizing terrain and vegetation and seeing firsthand how ELC supports responsible exploration. Along the way, students shared traditional knowledge about local plant species, creating valuable learning opportunities for everyone involved. Supporting northern learners and helping build local environmental expertise is an important part of how we work in the Yukon and a highlight of the season. We're grateful to instructor Scott Keesey, the students from Yukon University, the biologists from EDI and the Snowline team for making this such a rewarding experience. We look forward to continuing this partnership and supporting the next generation of Yukon environmental professionals!
